Inducted tonight into the NFL Hall of Fame. Well deserved. A Damn Good Dawg who was good in college, but I never dreamed that he would flame on in the NFL like he did and end up in Canton. For all the talk of Bo vs. Herschel, he's the one that ends up going into the Hall of Fame. Cheers...

Instantly one of the most overrated members in the NFL hall of fame.

Will be interesting to see if the bar stays this low for future running backs.

If Davis can make the Hall of Fame, there's nothing stopping Shaun Alexander from making it.

Terrell Davis career stats:
7,607 rushing yards
4.6 YPC
60 TDs

Shaun Alexander career stats:
9,453 rushing yards
4.3 YPC
100 TDs

Alexander is probably not going to make it. There are plenty of people that credit his OL for his much success. I don't agree but it is what it is.

Plus you got to consider Davis was one of the best playoff RBs ever.

I'm not saying he should make it but now that Davis is in, anyone can make an argument for Alexander.

Davis was elite for like 3 years and fell off the map.
If you're letting him in with that resume, then Edgerrin James, Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander, Tiki Barber, Corey Dillon etc should be locks.

Hell, Priest Holmes had a better 3 year stretch than Davis and he has no shot at ever making it.

Davis was elite until his knee injury that effectively ended his career.

That is the separation from the above names.

So was Alexander. Davis was the NFL's MVP in 1998 and a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade team. Alexander was the NFL's MVP in 2005 and a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade team.

Accomplishments get you into the HOF, not hypotheticals of what might have been if not for injury.

Right, I acknowledged that. There's been plenty of running backs that were elite for a short period of time due to injury. Even more that had lengthy careers, much more productive than Davis and some even had injuries and came back to continue at an elite level.

Is Priest Holmes a HOF iyo?

Speaking of HOF. I'm sick of espn already playing LT's speech. Drove in my car for 15 min listening to some of the HOF stuff. Literally played his sjw speech like 7 times.

ETA: Nevermind, there's only one LT, and he was a Giant.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but TD is #3 all-time in rushing yards per game, behind only Jim Brown and Barry Sanders. He is also considered one of the best RB's in playoff history. Elway doesn't have 2 rings without TD. I think injuries alone make him a questionable HOF selection, but his production is there.

You can add TD's name to the list of SEC running backs better than Henry and Fournette.
