Last night's outcome should have been obvious to pretty much everyone who saw it. When your opponent is bigger and stronger than you, you should expect to get beat down.
I thought we had a chance early on, when we made our first shove on you with that opening drive, and then withstood your initial lunge. But we tried to slap you with our finesse game and you just used your physical advantages and knocked us the frick out.
I guess you could say we had it coming.

After White broke his arm on that first drive, we had zero ability to keep the defense honest. I didn't think they manhandled us until the 2nd half, when it was clear the team had lost hope.
Gus exacerbated it when he pussed out on 4th and 1 when Franklin could have used that shot of confidence and Pettway seemed to be rolling. Piss poor coaching from a coach who is clearly in over his head.
Gus needs to be in the A-10, or Sunbelt, or Conference USA where he can get away with his style of coaching. His disposition is not built for sustained success in a P5 conference.

Outphysical is not the word I would use. Oklahoma's entire playbook is essentially a bunch of misdirection semi-trick plays. Kevin Steele got exposed by Lincoln Riley. Auburn is not that bad on defense.
Still not sure why Gus didn't go for it on 4th and inches when it was evident Auburn was not going to stop OU. That was a microcosm of why he will never be more than a glorified high school coach. No instincts.
But, yea, Auburn didn't belong on the field with OU.

Sooners would have been in the playoffs if they played OSU at the middle to end of the season. Baker Mayfield looked awesome. He could make every throw, feel pressure, avoid the defense and extend plays. Must be nice...

I agree. OSU regressed, while OU kept getting better and better. That offense is fun to watch.
