Who is "you" ??????? A few strong-armed members of the LSU Board of Supervisors wanted Miles out and pressured Alleva into that fiasco. Alleva even stated he made the decision to keep Miles 2 weeks before A&M.
So again, who is "you" ??? The LSU Athletic Dept?
The fan base of over a million people? The janitors?
The Engineering professors?
And actually, since the LSU Athletic Dept is one of SIX IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY that is fully funded and profitable and self-sustained, and GIVES money to the University every year, yes they could have "afforded it."
The State Budget cuts notwithstanding (only 11% of LSU's TOTAL budget is funded by the state anyway.
It's all political grandstanding......
