Right now, the SEC is in the running (football and baseball) and unless Villanova wins the NCAA tournament, so is the ACC (basketball and baseball) for this season.

2014-2015: ACC (Duke basketball, Virginia baseball)
2013-2014: American (UConn men's and women's basketball)
2012-2013: Big East (Louisville men, UConn Women)
2011-2012: SEC (Alabama football, Kentucky basketball)
2010-2011: SEC (Auburn football, SC baseball)
2009-2010: SEC (Alabama football, SC baseball)
2008-2009: SEC (Florida football, LSU baseball)
2007-2008: SEC (LSU football, Tennessee women)
2006-2007: SEC (Florida football and basketball, tennessee women)
2005-2006: none

That was an impressive run.

So I gather, no conference has ever won three of the big four in the same season, much less four of the big four? Not ever?

ETA: Dammit ... SC played for the national championship in baseball in 2011-2012. We were that close, as a conference, to winning three. And if Tennessee had not had to face Baylor and their transvestite Brittany Griner in the Elite Eight, we may have had a shot at pulling-off all four that season.

The lady ags knocked Griner and her banshee coach out of the 2011 tournament, then beat Stanford, then punked Skylar Diggins to win their title.

I think that was the year Oregon State won the CWS title ... beating UNC. Mississippi State was the only SEC team to make the CWS that year. UNC knocked us, SCAR, out in the championship game of the Super Regional at their place ... very poorly called game at their place, and they caught a lot of breaks including a major five hour weather delay. when we were up big, that broke our momentum, but they were the better team that year probably. I dunno. SCAR had a great team that year - the Super just didn't bounce our way.

Came close in 07-08 too. UGA lost in the championship series in baseball.

Yeah, y'all had a SCAR transfer that year if I remember correctly, and she handled Griner ... girl by the name of Chelsea Bone I think her name was. Big girl, extremely skilled, originally from Texas and she felt homesick here so Dawn Staley let her transfer to A&M.

Would be honestly shocked if an SEC team does not win the CWS.

No they didn't.

Texas won the 2005 baseball title, which was in the 2004-2005 year.

The 2005 football title was in the 2005-2006 year, in which Oregon State won the CWS.
