There are several articles out this week discussing Texas players trash talking Baylor. Quotes have come out such as -

"Baylor players got heated in April when Texas linebacker Steve Edmond, in relatively unprovoked fashion, declared: "I really don't like Baylor. I still think they're trash."

"They're still Baylor," Harris said Monday. "Just because they started playing better in this era, that's good for them. We're still Texas."

It is easy to see how this attitude got Texas to where they are today. Seems like Baylor won its first Big 12 game not too many years ago. I can't remember anytime when Baylor was historically relevant. This is the same school that lost to Lamar years ago. So, what if Texas stays status quo and stock continues to rise on Baylor over the next five years? What is a reasonable comparison to the change in status between Texas and Baylor?

Cincinnati replacing Ohio State as the state power house? South Florida replacing Florida and FSU? UAB replacing Alabama? La Tech replacing LSU?

Has Baylor won any national titles, had as many all-americans, heisman winners, players drafted, NFL Hall of Famers, or conference titles?

Baylor is nowhere remotely close to Texas' program. Yeah they have a better team but as a program, it's not even a competition.

Baylor is not close to Texas, but they jumped ahead of Tech/TCU/etc.

Georgia Tech lost their right to claim this as an SEC rant topic 50 years ago.

You going to the game on Saturday? Just listened to Phil Steele on Charlie Pallilo show in Houston and he is taking Texas and the 13 points.

What score do you have in mind?
