So now that the season has started, the smack talk is going into 6th gear. Yall need to step up your game with the retorts as many have failed.
"Rent is due"--I think you mean "living rent free". If you or your team are on their mind, all the time, you would not be collecting rent. Collecting rent suggest they are in living your head
"Ironic" or "Irony"--You probably meant hypocrite or hypocritical, not ironic

that anything and everything that isn't glowing praise for a team is "trolling". It's probably what bothers me most about this board these days. Instead of good natured back and forth with both sides making points, the first time you say something not-positive about something you're trolling.
Also on that note...a poster can say something just mind numbingly stupid. Just completely retarded. Then the first person that calls them out on being stupid, it's "got one!" or "aw man I'm reelin em in now". Ummm...no, that's not how it works. Posting something dumb and getting called dumb doesn't mean you "got" someone.

I always took this to mean that they ARENT living in your head rent-free. The only time you ever think of them is when they "pay rent".
But you're likely correct, people who use it prolly mean LRF.

Saying an entire team is obsessed with something when in reality it's just a handful of posters on a message board and actually has nothing to do with the people playing the game.

Have to disagree re: rent.
For example, Arkansas owns the the LSU cranial real estate free and clear. We aren't going to allow them to squat and instead charge them all $17.00 per day on a 365 day signed lease. Yes, it's steep and they struggle paying but it's strictly business.
