I'm glad we're finally hosting, but it makes me sick to think we had to remove the soldiers' flag from the Confederate Momument in order for that to happen.

Congratulations. This means a lot regarding SC's ability to recruit high ranking players, especially in the South's blue belt.

Why? That flag was placed there during the Civil Rights movement, and not because we wanted to salute the Confederate dead. And you know that.
Unbeknownst to foolish protesters, a giant Confederate soldier statue was right behind the flag and they didn't give a shite about that.

Some may not think it's a big deal, but it is. Exposure for Columbia other than it being home to USC and the state capitol. It's also a nice revenue take in and important for the local economy. Much congrats!

Greenville gets it again in 2022. Great for both cities. The estimated economic impact for us hosting this year was between 3.6 and 4 million last I heard.

Pretty bad arse tbh. I doubt it ever happens, but I would love to see Knoxville host it at some point. Good for Columbia

Sweet.
Avery Johnson will have Bama at full speed by then. I stayed in Columbia for the Masters this past weekend

I don't care if you support the flag or want it taken down. The NCAA held our state hostage solely because of a political issue with which it disagreed with South Carolina's duly elected legislature. This to me is a dangerous precedent.

I'm excited about it. This is great news for Columbia.
