Grobe can thank Arkansas for that raise, he got it when we spoke to him about our opening before hiring Petrino.
Thank God that didn't work out.

Often times contracts have salary's increasing year over year, so it is possible that nothing changed in his contract and yet he made a higher annual salary. It doesn't matter, but many standards they are all way overpaid.
The quoted piece from the linked article says as much, but the increase is not to 5.2 million.

Nothing has changed in his contract since the extension. Yet, people continue to list him making more than Brown because of the incentives collected from the 2009 season

Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban's $6.1 million pay for 2010 made him college football's highest-paid coach and among the best compensated in the sport. The massive increase over 2009's $5.2 million figure was largely due to restructuring of how the payments of specific bonuses were timed

i would have thought chizik would have at least made the top 20. i mean, the iowa coach, ga. tech coach and of course kiffen have not done shite (not to mention nutt). i would rather overpay for a successful coach than overpay for a mediocre coach.

At least 6 of the top coaches have coached at LSU!
