Why not throw it, when you have a receiver that can make that catch? Hopefully that is just the first of many from the freshmen Davis. His high school tape is full of spectacular catches.
As an Auburn fan it is nice to see a freshman doing something like that on our field. I have watched over the years as Jones, Ridley and Cooper made unbelievable catches.

Honestly, because of the safety. If he was a step or two quicker, he's in a position to, at the very least, bat that ball down, and possibly pick it off. The same scenario against a good secondary would have a very different result, and it has nothing to do with the WR vs the CB, but the position of the safety and his ability to get between the WR and the ball.

A better safety would've been closer to the spot, and so White probably doesn't make the throw.
But this thread is about the catch. Why not just say wow. Whether or not it should've been thrown is dumb.
