What Will Happen: Expect something special. Look elsewhere if you need points to enjoy a big game; these two will come up with one of the hardest-hitting, most aggressive defensive games you’ll see all year. The NFL talent on both defenses will keep pro scouts busy in the film room or months, and the offenses will be one step behind and one step slower all game long. The defenses will be even, and the two backfields will play to a statistical standstill, but Brantley will be a little better than McCarron thanks to the Gator pass rush. It’ll come down to a late drive, and Brantley, who’ll have problems all game long finding anything deep, will connect on a defining third down pass to get in a position for a game-winning field goal.
CFN Prediction: Florida 20 … Alabama 17

Another one of the "throw something on the wall and hope it sticks" predictions. If its wrong everyone forgets about it in a week. if it's right CFN rides it for 2 or 3 years.
BAMA by 2 possesions.

I don't think this game is going to be close, Bama by 14.

well, it seems like a logical prediction but that doesn't mean i agree with it completely. on paper, everything will be balanced and it will come down to the passing game. brantley is the experienced guy compared to mccarron. so i can see it coming down to that with a game winning field goal.

I think you should bet the house on it.
Brantley may play better than McCarron, but Bama will win this game in the trenches. I think we own the line on both sides and pound UF bad.

Except McCarron has much better receivers to throw to than Brantley does.
If the game really does come down to Brantley needing to make a play to a WR, then I gotta think Alabama's going to win.

If it comes to passing games, I like our chances with our secondary better.

I actually think Florida has the advantage at the LOS, which is the only reason the game is competitive.
Florida's OL and DL have played more consistently than Alabama's to this point.

You guys are really living vicariously through Alabama now aren't you? You want them to win the SEC and NC so badly now, so you can say it wasn't a fluke that they hit you guys in the jaw really hard and made you cry, don't you?

Who's going to win time of possesion? Who's defense is going to be on the field the longest? Florida is better than last year and will hang for 3 quarters but in the end BAMA's depth will wear them down.

Really? You really are putting your trust in Xavier Nixon and Chaz Green/Patchan at tackle? That's the match-up you're hanging your hat on?

I don't care what Bama does. Stop being a pussy when someone thinks Bama is really good.
ETA: It was LSU fans sucking the Bama cock after they beat Arkansas, not the other way around.

I think those are both dangerous assumptions to make heading into this game. Florida has a strong rushing attack too that could force Alabama's defense to stay on the field for long stretches.
I'm predicting that Florida loses, my score has always been 24-13 since the week started, but I hate people making this assumption like Florida can't control the clock with their offense when they have the exact same stats Bama does and have actually played better on both LOS.

Why? They've given up 2 sacks while Bama has given up 8. Xavier Nixon is a 3 year starter, and Chaz Green has been very strong on the other side.
Both are quick and strong. I don't see why it's such a bad match up for Florida.

I give it til midway through the 3rd. I think Florida is improved this year, but they are still an East team who I feel wont match up to 1 of the 2 SEC West powerhouses. I still think they do a much better job than Arkansas, not like that would be hard though.

You are simply not better than us in the trenches. Your OL isn't better than our DL, and I'm not sure your DL is better than our OL. Your LBs are definitely your strength, I have no illusions of gaining a lot of yards, but I agree with the prediction, this will be a defensive struggle, and the Swamp will be a factor.
We shall see.

Does Florida have any rbs?

Yeah he was 16-31 with two picks last year against a weaker Defense. If Florida is relying on Brantley to win, then that's great.

Talent wise - UF matches up very well with Alabama, especially on defense.
I think people's perception of Florida's ability were skewed by the horrendous coaching from 2010.
