Give me a number of fouls called for the State/ Kentucky game. I will say close to 50. A team can't even get into a rhythm without a whistle getting blown. You can't even block out on a rebound.
A Gamecock game last season had 68 fouls and 99 attempted free throws.
Ridiculous.

How many players fouled out?

The last three Kentucky games have had 143 fouls called.
And only 18 called in the Auburn game.

The rule changes are killing college basketball. I can't even watch a game outside of Auburn. The NBA is much better.

overall- i agree with you but i really didn't think the ones in our game last night were too bad at all. they seem to make some calls a little late but i'd prefer that to them blowing their whistle every 5 seconds.

Last nights Kentucky and Miss State game was so bad I actually started wishing it was Doug Shows doing the game instead.

Maybe they're too fat and slow and that's why they call so many fouls... To get a break?
I have been thinking this for the past decade or so.
Between refs that can not keep up and TV timeouts for commercials they are killing teams that benefit for having faster teams. I blame ESPN and Dean Smith for setting the seeds for this.

In addition, the sheer number of fouls called makes it hard to be consistent. Players, coaches, and the fans can't figure out what is objectively going to be considered a foul. I expect there to be some leeway between games, but not within a game.
