Do they have a reason other than wanted a big win? Seems silly with conference play starting this weekend.

While not as big #12-22 A&M plays @ #21-RV tu tonight. No weekend starters slotted. It's on the LHN

It's only Tuesday. They would still have the pitcher available for Saturday - possibly, Sunday - for sure.

Plus the team they are playing this weekend has lost games to George Washington, Samford, Lipscomb, South Alabama and Presbyterian - all at home.

Not so sure about that. UF has not been hitting well and relying on pitching and defense. Been dogshit midweek this year.

It would be great if you were right.

Regardless I want to keep my weekend guys on a normal schedule with a full week's rest until I can't anymore ie postseason.

Why do that on a Tuesday in mid-March?

This series lost a ton of meaning when it was moved from the weekend yrs ago.

Yep. Our weekend rotation is awesome but we're pretty pedestrian everywhere else.

We don't throw a weekend guy against those pukes. We've owned them without doing so during Sully's time here.

You don't understand baseball it seems.

UF probably takes 2/3 but it wouldn't surprise me to see Auburn take the series.

You think I don't understand baseball?

And you wouldn't be surprised if a team who lost to George Washington, Samford, Lipscomb, and Presbyterian at home wins a series against the #5 team in the country???? Jesus dude !!!

It's baseball not football. Bad teams beat good teams all the time. Auburn's pitching staff is short but at the top there are quality arms. Thompson and Mize are both top 15 pitchers in conference if not top 10.

Hell Florida lost to FGC. LSU lost to McNeese. Upsets happen, often.

Not saying it can't happen. But, I damn sure wouldn't say I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

George Washington, Lipscomb and Presbyterian are schools that I am well aware of (academically) but didn't think they had baseball teams that could beat the #5 team's next opponent at their place.

We get it. You don't think much of Auburn.

Still I wouldn't do this unless I planned on changing something long term or my Sunday guy only got a few innings in (rain delay, shelled, etc) and needs more work.
