So Cowherd is talking about Saban and his abuse of Alabama running backs being the main reason Bama backs bust in the NFL. This stat says alot, Derrick Henry's 26.3 carries per game this season would would have been the most in the history of the NFL for a RB. This is just more proof that Saban doesn't give 2 shites about his players.

So 1 stat for 1 season proves everything? You must have flunked out of college.

Is his job to win in the NFL or at Alabama? Case closed.
Prospects should learn and be aware of that.

I guess you missed all the RB tandems, with carries split.

Very very interesting.

Lacy, Yeldon, and Ingram are not busts. So 1 out of 4 busts means all Bama backs are busts?

stop.
Trent is an idiot and made poor choices- that is why he hasn't done well.
Mark I. is doing just fine in NOLA.
Lacy is starting for the pack and is going fine as well.

Bama's O line against another college D line sure does help the RB's excel in college. In the NFL, the linemen are more equal. This is where you see the true great running backs shine.

Fact: Derrick Henry seems to be an outstanding person, and also will be wealthy. Sounds Coach Saban did a pretty good job with him.

...and for clarity purposes, the above is presumably the "proper" way to say:
"Cowturd ain't know what the frick he talkin' 'bout."

Henry was honestly the only RB under Saban I remember getting that many carries a game. Even when Richardson was the main back, he had Eddie Lacy to compliment him. Henry got the most of the carries last year because Drake went down with an injury against Mississippi State and Henry was still fresh and gaining chunks of yards each carry.
How much sense would it be to pull a RB that is gaining at least 6 yards per carry to close out at game? Not only that, but pull him and throw an inexperienced frehsman RB that could likely cost the game with a fumble, or a miss block, etc..
