Baylor.

Michigan St is nothing like LSU, they have a QB. don't confuse teams with an (earned) reputation for physical play with your team's total inability to schematically incorporate anything besides physicality.
Losing to Mich St was a bummer, you're right, but you seem to be failing to understand that Baylor and its fans lack the history of success that you're still living in with your tigers.
Right now, in this moment, your team is coming off an 8-5 season with no QB and a system that wastes the position. a record that put you 5th of 7 in your division and 7th of 14 in conference. You lost your bowl game to unranked Notre Dame, and as a result ended your season unranked. Baylor repeated as conference champs, with the most productive offensive system country, won the most talked about regular season game of the year against our most hated rival in thrilling fashion, the result of that game being solely responsible for that team failing to be invited to the inaugural playoff. Baylor was invited to a new year's 6 bowl game and squandered a 20 point lead in the final minutes to lose by 1, ending the season 11-2 and ranked in the top ten nationally.
The string of words you are looking for that will make me feel bad about my team comparatively to your team simply do not exist.

I've actually wanted to see an LSU v Baylor matvhup for a couple years now. I think it would be a good game.
By the way, please stop getting so high and mighty about beating the only other good team in your conference by the skin of your teeth and losing to a B1G team in a bowl game the same season LSU had a down year (I'm pretty sure Baylor fans wouldn't call 8 wins a down year. Even in your shite conference.)
I don't want you to feel bad for your team, just stop acting like you've earned the right to talk down to major SEC programs when you consistently can't beat anyone outside what is universally acknowledged as the worst Power 5 conference (and you've only been winning there since two of its major programs left and Texas is down).

seeing as you have 58 posts and are responding as if we have had an ongoing dialogue, I'm going to assume this is an alt.
I would love to see Baylor play LSU.
I'm a fan, I will never 'earn the right' to talk down to any football programs. However, I believe everyone on the planet has 'earned the right' to mercilessly deride the incomprehensibly dense spewage coming out of the mouths of certain LSU posters. If you aren't one of them, then please don't be offended. If you are, please be offended.

Our QB play has been absolutely terrible as of late, but the LSU formula has proven more successful than the Baylor formula. A grind it out rushing attack with mediocre QB play and a great defense will always be better than a high octane offense that hardly plays any defense. For example list the teams that have won a national championship the past ten years that give up at least 40 points in every major game they play.

do you really take pride in the titles of other schools because they have similar offensive philosophy?
Posted on 7/31/15 at 2:15 pm to BearBait09
No I take pride in LSUs philosophy because you know, it works.

It's been probably 60 years since Baylor was involved in a truly meaningful game.

SEC......(+46)
I don't see how anybody could argue that ESPN is unbiased.
Three teams (Tennessee, Texas A&M, and LSU) make up 36 of those +46 point differential. Maybe ESPN just feels better about those teams than the coaches do.

ACC......(-26)
Florida State makes up -13 of those points (1/2). Maybe ESPN has less confidence in FSU's new QB than the coaches of the ACC do.

Big 10...(-10)
Michigan State is a -10 difference from one poll to the next. Maybe ESPN lacks confidence in that one team, not the entire conference.
I think the point is you can see almost anything you want to see when looking at these things. SEC gets benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise (and by otherwise, we mean prove that last year was a new trend and not an anomaly).

Can we PLEASE cleanse the rant of the OOC fools??
Posted on 7/31/15 at 5:16 pm to DrewDawg13
What about OOC fools whose team only wins anything because they're "built like an elite SEC team"?

This isn't an alt. I wouldn't say that I necessarily replied as if this were an ongoing dialogue, but it is something lots of people have heard before so maybe that's a factor. Not necessarily from Baylor fans specifically, just OOC fans in general.
I just think that it's ironic that a Baylor fan of all fan bases is going to badmouth LSU.
There are some LSU posters that are obnoxious. Most of us IRL are reasonable, but reasonable doesn't have much place on the Internet.
Hope we see y'all in a bowl game soon.

This is exactly the sentiment I expect from a fanbase so proud of playing hard nosed, tug-o-war, 3 and out, 1982 football in a 3 point loss to Alabama every year. be you.
heres the major difference between you and real football fans.
you love a game that the score is 60 to 65. this is your version of great football. its totally lost on you that HALF of each squad is actually doing anything, offense offense offense only, zero defense. 85 guys on scholarship, only half required to play, sad sad sad.
we, the lovers of REAL football, demand our TEAMS have both offense and DEFENSE! its totally unfair to everybody involved if only half the team has any expectations placed on them. you see TEAM means everybody plays hard and is expected to accomplish the objective, win.
seriously, if the only drama in the game is who gets the ball last, thats sad. video game football is not real football.

It's almost like ESPN has a major business relationship with the SEC and does anything it can to promote all it's teams. LOL!!

You demand people huddle up so you can rest your fat people, run into the pile on 1st and 2nd down between the hashmarks like they're supposed to (god forbid you have to defend entire field), and only pass on third down when it's obvious they need to throw the ball. In other words, you demand people play to YOUR strengths "or it's not real football". LOL

anks to OM for TCU being so vastly overrated!
I hate to say it but TCU is legit. Patterson is a fantastic coach and now that they have a great offense to go with their always solid defense they can beat anyone on a given Saturday.
Not saying I think they WOULD beat OSU or Bama in the playoff, but to blow them off and say they couldnt is intellectually dishonest IMO. They lined up across from a very physical 10-2 SEC team and kicked their arse for 60 minutes. I absolutely think they would have beaten both FSU and Oregon last year.

Let's not act like Bama and LSU have defined offensive excellence during Miles and Saban's respective tenures. LSU especially has had some teams whose offense was every bit as bad as scrub Big XII defenses.
Teams with great offenses and defenses typically win national titles because it just isnt that common. Bama and LSU usually win with great defense and decent to sometimes poor offense.

TCU has a creampuff schedule. I have heard the TCU hype so many times I'm over it.
It used to be an annual thing that this was TCU's year. And the last 25 games in a row the Aggies whipped them.
I hope the Aggies have the good fortune to be matched with TCU in a bowl.
So do I. This year. I'd love to see them Ole Miss that arse.
