SEC wise I think AU is about 5 spots too high. Mizz, MSU, UT and A&M are in the right range, but could be in any order and it wouldn't be far off. Everything else looks about as expected.

1- OSU - agree
2- TCU - agree
3- Bama - maybe a little too high, but no issue
4- Baylor - I would put them at #3
5- Oregon - should be a couple of spots lower
6- Mich St - should be top 5
7- Auburn - what the frick?????
8- FSU - meh, ok I guess.
9- Georgia - Should be ahead of Auburn, IMO
10- USCw - should be top 8

we also have more impact additions to our roster (Lawson, Kozan, Tray Matthews, Blake Countess, Jeremy Johnson, Davonte Lambert, and 2 RBs more talented than Artis Payne) than pretty much any team in America.

Add that to a major coaching upgrade, where literally changing our defender's mindset will be worth a TD, and there's your reasoning.

We have elite talent at almost every starter's position across the field.

What I like about this poll is we will already have some major moves in the rankings after the first week of the season.

Wondering why people so surprised at this .

It has been talked about all summer with plenty of news outlets predicting AU in top 5 and a playoff contender.

I like how after a long offseason of Auburn being picked by a lot of entities for the playoff and being picked to win the SEC, people are stunned that we landed in the top 10.

In truth, nobody knows. AU is pretty loaded but coming off a slump. I don't really care if we're 2nd, 7th or 13th but the feigned surprise is laughable.
