I'm all about defense,I've thought for years that the one thing that was keeping uga out of th NC race was defense. I will admit I was excited about Pruitt coming to town, but after Saturday? NOT SO MUCH!! I was at the game, he himself got uga the sideline infractions/warning. Corch Mike ridge called a timeout b/c there was 12 men on the field on defense. How do you give up 38 true points on defense, and say "we are getting better!" I'm not impressed! GO DAWGS!!

I really thought he would improve UGA's defense. I don't know what the deal is.

The same way that you pass for 80 yards and are "getting better" ... and, then, voila ... lo and behold ... you pass for 200+ yards.
I feel bad for the Dawg WR that dropped that sure TD.

You should have known he wasn't great after the UF game last year. We ran the same counter play literally 20 times and he still made no adjustments.

Hard to understand his ascent. One day he is an assistant HS football coach, then an athletic department office guy, eventually position coach and then DC. One year later another DC job.

Eeeh we've had 3 freshmen, 5 sophomores and 2 other first year starters at times this year. You'll have to forgive me if I don't want to chase Pruitt out of town just yet. If Pruitt hangs around for a while, the D will be nasty.

Hence my name I live in Ga now. What I was getting from in-laws, friends, radio etc. was that Pruitt was coming in and Richt has loosened his grip on the program letting Pruitt take the reigns on a lot of aspects in the program.
Things like Pruitt had a lot to do with getting indoor facility approved, took over recruitng and the overall mindset of the program. Not saying everyone said that, but that was the impression that I got. Sort of like Pruitt was turning the ship around himself.
I didn't call anything cause for all I knew it would work, but I couldn't help feeling a coordinator getting that much responsibility and credit for changing things under a long time head coach seemed odd. I mean the head coach is the head coach and if a coordinator is ultimately responsible for success it would seem like a strange dynamic in the locker room in terms of player loyalty, respect etc. Just an interesting situation IMO.

Your post reminds me of my mom texting me in the game.
Are you my mom?

But but coach Pruitt was supposed to lead you to the promised land.
He's a damn good coach, you just got out played by a more physical Alabama team.

I think there were indications when he was hired that he wasn't all that.

It's been a combination of Pruitt changing the culture and environment for the better along with having a new president who isn't a complete buffoon and actually wants the football program to succeed. A lot of changes have taken place that don't have to do with X's and O's that have been for the better. Improvement will come.

Bama has more talent...and is better coached.
What he did yesterday against UT was an abortion.

What's the Muschamp excuse? We know his defense at LSU was the best in the country and he assuredly had all that talent working for him @ Auburn this season.
Oh wait maybe that was a build up for a cripple fight between them...

Auburn does not have any talent. Is there another team in college football history that has had its entire passrush injured for 2 years straight?

Coach Pruitt..
had only one year of DC experience at an ACC school loaded with Jimbo Fisher's recruits.
