Coach O's post game presser

I have a LOT of respect for the skill set Coach O brings to the table, especially as an interim coach, which he is possibly better at than anyone I have ever seen. I like the guy a LOT. I want that known first and foremost.
WITH ALL THAT SAID. The man REFUSED to give Alabama any credit whatsoever. Even when point blank asked "How good was that front 7 defense you faced tonight?".... "We didn't execute. That's all I'm gonna say about that."
Come on man. Coach Saban and every Alabama player that was interviewed, talked about how good that LSU team was and how Fournette was maybe the best player in the country. You got to show class there and give the other team credit. Yes, maybe your offense didn't execute, but there was a defense on the field that night lined up across from them that is widely recognized as one of the, if not THE, best defenses in the country. They MIGHT have had something to do with that lack of execution. Not only does it cheapen your words to refuse to give them credit, but it also sends the message to your players that they did nothing right in that game. You are completely to blame for us losing the game. No. What he should have said was that they missed some opportunities but they played their asses off against a high quality opponent and I'm proud of them for playinjg as hard as they did. Because they did play their asses off and they never quit.
Just my 2 cents. Like I said, I have a LOT of respect for Coach O and I really like the guy a lot, but that was just messed up in my opinion.
ETA: A lot of people are misinterpreting my thoughts here. I dont give a shite what he says about us as an Alabama fan. I'm a fan of LSU and of Coach O himself. This is my thoughts in that regard and the message he sends his players with that type of talk. That's all. No hate.

I'm surprised you could understand him.

Coach O believed his own hype. Emperor Saban taught him otherwise.

Coach O is a fun dude who loves his players, but he has a long history of making poor emotional decisions.
Recruiting Tennessee players to USC on the phone 2 hours after he and Lane left, basically telling SC (and their players) to fvck off for their bowl game when he didn't get the job, etc.
He's just not a head coach. He does fine in interim situations because players love him and he brings tons of juice, but he's not a long term guy.

It'll be OK. You still go tthe win and 2 things will happen. You'll get to beat him next year in Ttown or you will never see him again.

Have to agree,he is not the long term answer.Hoping Aranda gets the gig personally.

I agree with this. He isnt head coach material. Period. But he is an amazing interim coach because he has a special way of bringing a low morale team in and infusing energy like crazy and hyping them up to play to their potential and sometimes even far above their heads. That's his skillset and he's damn good at it.

LSU's defense played to their potential, not above their heads and that was Aranda's doing

Yeah, but thats not the point. As I said, I like him a lot and have a lot of respect for him. I just think he should have handled it differently. Not because of anything on Alabama's end. We arent affected by anyones words or thoughts but our own (speaking in terms of the team of course). I'm more talking about the message he's sending the players. I don't know. Maybe I'm just a little disappointed by it because of how much I like the guy. I'll probably get down voted because people will think I give a shite about it as an alabama fan when its really more as a Coach O fan.

I should have known better than to try to have a serious conversation about something that I was honestly not trolling about at all.

O is a dumb fricking neanderthal that thought LSU could beat Bama if he just acted like they were badasses. I hope they don't hire the guy, because I like LSU and they deserve better.

This game was his meal ticket, and it just didn't work out for him.

I take it the Aggy dickriding isn't enough for you?
Yea, your defense played a good game. Especially covering obvious LF7 up the middles and the quick out passes. But there were at least three un-pressured passes by Etling that would have been drive extenders had he not planted the throw two feet in front of the receiver.

Coach O's Post Game Presser
I accidentally clicked a different one just now when I looked that up and the very first words out of his mouth were praising Alabama for being maybe the best defensive front 7 hes ever seen. I think someone may have got to him and said, hey look, that was bad form. Like I said, I dont give a shite as a Bama fan if he praises us or not. I am looking more at what his players take from his comments. I'm a Coach O fan. I think he's a good coach for what he does. He's a good assistant coach and a fantastic interim. Period. That's my only reason to gripe.

Why would you even watch the LSU presser?

You should read what I've said in this thread because I, in fact, dont care an ounce what people say about us. This is strictly from a Coach O fan and, believe it or not, LSU fan standpoint. LSU is my second favorite team in the SEC. Why else would my sports message board of choice be fricking Tigerdroppings? I think my record speaks for itself in that regard.
