that makes no sense. if you don't win the first game, then amount of time to prepare for 2nd one is moot. so u always want the weakest team first.

If you cant beat the best team with more time to prepare, then how can you do it on a short prep period filled with more distractions.

Knock out the best competition first, then adjust for a lesser finals opponent.

The pride is in winning, not advancing to the finals with an easy first round win only to finish second.

It not hard logic to follow

ok

i know that i would prefer for CU to play Wash prior to OSU or Alabama. lol

does Coach K wish they could play a no. 2 seed first in the big dance rather than a 16 seed. lol

Strawman argument.

You're crossing sports with vastly different levels of parity and variables that determine outcomes as well as rounds to each playoff.

If you have 2 games to play and have to beat the best team to win, what coach on earth wouldnt want most prep time for the best opponent?

Clemson should have dropped to #4, their best win was against Auburn.

OSU should be #4.

Agreed.

This isnt even CUMs top 4-5 team as a HC.

tOSU was a much more complete team last year.

Of the 3, Bama's best matchup across the board is vs. tOSU

Yeah I don't get the hate with the placement of the teams. I personally thought OSU should be in the Rose Bowl and Have Penn St against Bama or Clemson. If the committee is favoring Bama with Washington as a four seed, Washington has been favored all year by playing a soft schedule. It all works out.

of course idiots will think there is some big conspiracy to give Bama the easiest route to the championship game....apparently CFB is just one big conspiracy and it's about giving Bama the easiest path to victories and championships.

I don't think so. I think OSU is a better team than Washington, and that's what the ranking should be.

i don't think it is a conspiracy this year. last year, it was shady Bama got MSU rather than Okla, given Clemson was 1 seed.

i'd rather improve my likihood of winning the first game by playing the less talented team. saban wud understand.

I'm not sold on the Big10 yet. The ACC and PAC10 have legit offenses.

That is great if your goal is to make it to the finals.

If your goal is to win championships then eliminating variables, gaining more time for you biggest threat to allow more of a process oriented one game at a time approach to "increase the liklihood" of winning round one while placing you in the best position for round 2 would be preferred strategy That is what CNS would understand.

yes but Oregon and FSU were perceived as better.

Oregon, maybe, dunno 'bout FSU. For the only undefeated Power 5 team they didn't get a lot of respect...

FACT.....

Clemson got beat.... Clemson lost.... Dabo lost the big one..... Watson did not win the heisman..... Repeat..... Clemson lost the big one....

Only NC they've ever won, their coach was an Alabama alum.... Onsides kicks are part of the football game and can be used if you so desire..... Saban outcoached Swinney....... Bama won the natty, Clemson lost.....
