Of the top 4, most every UA fan should prefer Clemson in the first round.

Gives CNS, staff and team the most time to prep for the team that presents the toughest matchup.

Yr 1 CFP showed CNS you have to take it one game at a time; trying to prep for all 3 lost focus on the task at hand and diluted effort overall. They adjusted maybe too much to the other end in Yr2 as the UA philosophy requires extensive prep to play it's best against quality teams that challenge them scematically.

This will be an interesting year to watch as CNS continues to iterate how he preps his team for a 2 game playoff.

That said, given the choice, I think most all of the UA coaches, staff, and players would prefer the toughest matchup first. It allows them to put all they have into the first game with max time to prepare.

The other two teams present challenges as well, but are very much more of a challenge where talent and experience will out, so less prep and more players making plays will carry the day.

that makes no sense. if you don't win the first game, then amount of time to prepare for 2nd one is moot. so u always want the weakest team first.

The committee must not have gotten that memo back in 2014...they had no issue matching us with Ohio State in the first round that year...

i ithink a loser is a hick who thinks an opinion football says something about life. u probably making it too serious.

i think the whole onside kick thing is bsically a desparation play, hoping to get fortunuate to get the ball back. i'd rather see a team have to stop a team on defense to get ball back.

Clemson won those games, despite playing poorly as you say. lol Clemson dominated NC State in overtirme, and without our starting RB, if they should have beat clemson why didn't they in in overtime. the missed FG didn't beat them.

So Dabo's a bad coach? Your point was Washington playing poorly indicated that Petersen isn't good. You just straight-up admitted Clemson player poorly. QED. Good going, Tillman. You're slow and stupid, but sometimes you eventually work out the truth.

Again, you don't seem to understand how playoffs work. It doesn't matter which game you lose. You lose either and you're not the national champion. So if you win the first game and lose the second, that's no more effective than losing the first game.

i never said Peterson isn't a good coach, you the king of debating strawmen. you basically talk to yourself.

u said Peterson is a better coach than Dabo but if you look at Dabo's record and Clemson and Peterson's record at Washington, nothing supports that assertion.

Clemson should have dropped to #4, their best win was against Auburn.

That is the dumbest thing I have read.

You were out coached plain and simple

outcoached by a coach that had to do an onside kick in 4th quarter b/c he didn't trust his defense to hold Clemson's offense only up 3.

if the kids for alabama had not executed that play then he's given Clemson's offense the ball at the 50 yard line. it was a really dumb call given Bama's defense was pretty good. no NFL coach would have done that. that call is like something the Gamecocks would do b/c they can't stop Clemson on defense.

They've lost only 1 game, and unlike Ohio State, won their conference. The committee claimed that was a strong deciding factor as to who is in and how they rank.

auburn people really rate their team highly. i don't get it. they basically act like they won the Clemson game b/c it was close.

Lol flipped the game completely and then we punched in the go ahead score

Saban saw your flawed coverage, read you like a book, and sprung the play.

Dabo got outcoached pure and simple

Hard to argue that the Big 10 was the best conference this year. The ACC was a three team league and two of them faded at the end.

i think ACC better than big 10. pitt, clemson, fsu, lville, va tech, miami, g tech, unc a better 8 than any 8 in big 10. same goes for sec. ACC beat SEC on field this year. not sure how a SEC fan is beating up on acc.
