It's possible. It's also possible Petersen could beat Dabo's arse. He is a better coach than the Swinn, after all.

his record at washington doesn't indicate that. washington looked terrible against USC.

Who you gonna blame Tillman? Alabama has beat every team on their schedule and maintained the #1 spot. Same way CU did last year.

my point isn't that Alabama doesn't deserve washington. they do. my point was the com would not have given them Clemson or OSU in 1st round. i saw several 'sports experts' projecting either Clemson or OSU as 4 seed. Oklahoma was the most hyped team going into theh playoffs and many thought they were the best team. it was weird the 1 seed was forced to play the team everybody thought was the best.

but last year the com. gave the no. 2 seed Alabama MSU, a team with no offense and widely viewed as the worst team of the 4.

Clemson looked terrible against Auburn, NC State and Pitt. At least USC is a good team. What's your point?

Watson threw for 580 yards on Pitt on like 56 of 70 passes. looked terrible? lol

not if you watced the game and saw the bad PI / holding calls on 3rd and long passes. u wud think Pitt had Terrel Owens type studes at WR . lol

pitt only had 3 penalities in the game for like 30 yards. who buys Pitt only committed 3 penalities against an offense that was carving them up.

NC state knocked out our star RB and there were 4 turnovers, 3 in the redzone that made the nc state game close. people who cite that game know this but they leave it out b/c they hacks. auburn was first game of season on the road.

Man, wouldn't it be wild if football was about more than how many passes a QB throws? Why, it'd be an entirely different sport if there were other aspects to the game.

think it is safe to say Pitt not going to get a 70 yard interception return on a pass into the endzone against Clemson most of the time. that 70 yards was most of their offense in the 2nd half, along with two penalties.

I'm not sure what his point is either. Other than accusing the committee of favoring Alabama by placing Washington at #4 in an attempt to give Bama an easier path? Washington with their relatively weak OOS deserves their spot...Bama with their #1 seed deserves their spot.

my point was the com. was never going to have alabama play OSU or Clemson first and I knew this. you say you don't understand my point but you are agreeing with it.

Are you fricking with us now? An interception return isn't counted as "offense."

And if y'all don't want 70 yard interception returns, learn to throw better and learn to tackle people making interceptions before they run more than 2/3rds of the field length.

maybe one day you will be able to talk about vanderbilt at this time of the year rather than brown nose a team that always beats vanderbilt. lol

Fortunate. did it look like that ball took a fortuitous bounce to you. Y'all were out coached and in the end outplayed.

ok, why are you talking about the pitt game? Clemson wud have been ranked no. 2 even if they won. lol a lot of things went bad in the pitt game and Pitt was able to barely win with a 48 yard FG with 6 seconds left, tip the hat to them. if there was time on the clock, Clemson would have marched up field and kicked a FG for the win.

we were bad on speical teams last year, i've said that numerous times. Bama won on special teams. also got the punt or kick return td later in the game.

but as i've said, i think it is stupid that a kicking team can catch the ball they kicked to the receiving team. they are far too close to the return team if that is even physicially possible. that was a cheap way of getting the ball back and obviously possession is a big deal in football. that was almost like a self pass in basketball.

it is funny though that a team like Alabama that people siad was going to 'pistol whip' Clemson had to do a gimmicky thing like that in the 4th quarter b/c had no confidence in your defense, similar to that gimmick fake punt Va tech did last night. lol

I talk about them all year long. I've brought them up twice today. How many times has Clemson been in the conversation for the national title? Most years, they're the same as Vandy is right now -- prepping for a bowl game. Or not.

Is your short-term memory really that bad? How about your ability to click and look at the previous pages? I'm talking about the Pitt game because you were whining about Washington's loss to USC as an indicator that Petersen isn't a good coach. I pointed out Pitt (and Auburn and NC State) for Dabo's team playing poorly. USC is miles better than any of those three. At least losing to them wasn't an embarrassing loss.

Clemson prior to the past few years was in much better bowlg games than vandy most years.

Clemson won those games, despite playing poorly as you say. lol Clemson dominated NC State in overtirme, and without our starting RB, if they should have beat clemson why didn't they in in overtime. the missed FG didn't beat them.

Bama beat LSU 10-0 but i don't see Bama brown-nosers like you talking about that game all day. i can't see Clemson onl yscoring 10 on LSU. lol

alabama didn't look great on offense against florida, their D was really their offense.

Do you think Washington deserves to be ranked higher than #4?

I the top four rankings are pretty solid and reflective of the performance and records of each team including their SOS, etc.

no my point was simply that i never thought it possible Alabama would see clemson or OSU in 1st game. many experts predicted this. i'm not knocking alabama getting washington first.

i don't care about that loss as much as you want to think. both teams were 14-1 and Clemson would have won the title in pre-BCS as only undefeated. Clemson had the better loss and it was only due to special teams miscuses. we were without both Mike Williams and Cain at WR, and 3 of our defensive stars were hurt including Shaq Lawson.

hopefully Clemson will get another shot at them and beat them, it will be like Duke beating UNLV the year after UNLV destroyed them, although in this game bama didn't destroy clemson. it will be more like Spurs beating Miami the next year after blowing the series the year before.
