This nc game will be a ratings disaster. This game is not nationally sexy.
This game matters very little to rest of the country...die hard college football fans will watch, but don't expect big ratings.
I will be in Phoenix so I'm pumped!

Even the people who normally tune in to watch Alabama in hopes that they will lose are getting bored of Alabama. Good for you guys. Like the rest of the football world, I'll be glad when Saban steps down.

What would have been a better matchup? I don't think MSU or OU would offer better ratings. Maybe ND or tOSU would have. But other than that, this matchup is pretty good other than the fact it is two teams from semi-close proximity.

yea, an OU matchup would have brought the entire B12 out in force - all wanting OU to be destroyed. Ratings would have been much higher.

The Big 12 hates the SEC and roots against SEC teams every week (except the SEC team playing A&M). They would definitely have rooted for OU over Bama. And you're overestimating the amount of Big 12 fans. Pretty small fanbases outside of Texas and OU.

Please do. There is Okie Lite and Texas. Why wouldn't TCU root for OU? I know about a dozen people who went to TCU and all were rooting for the big 12 and OU in their bowl. Literally every big 12 fan I know (and I know tons) hates the SEC.

Both my parents and a sister went to Baylor. All were pulling hard for OU.
My brother in law and his friends went to Tech. All were actively rooting for OU.
