Who wins and why?

I think Bama wins this going away. They've played Clemson and I feel sure Saban has studied last year's game relentlessly.

Bama 35-14

I was more confident going into the game last year. Our defense will keep us in any game we play, but we are really an awful downfield passing team. I think it'll be something like 24-20.

It will be closer than it should be because of Kiffin.

I can tell you one thing. It won't be some 40-40 shootout this time.

Not gonna lie, Clemson scares me. I know it'll probably be close - I'm wanting to say 21-17, Bama. And even if Bama doesn't win in the end, I think the final score would be the same either way. I don't *think* it will be a blow out for whoever wins.

For Clemson, their advantage is motivation. They are hungry. Dashaun Watson feels disrespected and wants to prove he's the best player in college football, and get revenge against the Tide while he's at it. The entire team wants that, and the bludgeoning of Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl has got them pumped. Not to mention, Alabama's offense is anemic. They're going to be up against a freshman QB. I mean, what a great scenario for Clemson this time around. It's the perfect storm, and they have a veteran QB like Watson at the helm of their offense.

For Alabama, Saban and his meticulous preparation should be their advantage going into this game - we all know Saban is someone who is very thorough when it comes to rematches -- plus, this is a championship game. He has yet to lose a championship game, and I feel like even if he does lose this one, it won't be because of a lack of preperation. That, and the brotherhood of this team, which has been extremely tight-knit and close, according to Saban, has been through a lot this season, and maybe that spirit alone can be an advantage for them to come together and pull out a victory.

Bama.
31 - 21
Objectively, I just think Alabama is better. Their defense is scary and scores.

Clemson would need to be amazing and Bama off its game.

I mean, Clemson is probably one of the few teams with the talent to pull off the upset, but it would be very tough.

I think Clemson beats us this year and it's due to Kiffin.

These last few games he's become very predictable, too many sideways passes, too many low percentage bombs for hurts, too many hurts designed runs.

Clemson 31-24

I then proceed to rape my livestock in anger from an Alabama football loss I personally play no part of.

Stole this.

Alabama dominated 8 teams (USC 9-3, W. Kentucky 11-3, Kent State 3-9, Kentucky 7-6, Tennessee 9-4, Miss. St. 6-7, Chattanooga 9-4, Florida 8-4)

Alabama handily beat 4 teams (Arkansas 7-6, Texas A&M 8-5, Auburn 8-4 and Washington 12-2)

Alabama had 1 score or 10 point wins against 2 teams (Ole Miss 5-7 and LSU 8-4)

Alabama lost to no one.

BAMA 30
Clemson 21

Clemson scores late TD making it look closer than it was.

Saban probably looked at the Clemson-NC State, Clemson-Pitt and other game tapes today. Clemson was just a couple of plays away from being 9-3.

BAMA rolls to #17.

Last year, Bama played maybe its best game in the semi-final game in destroying Mich St. This year Bama didn't play up to its potential in beating Washington. Bama is saving its best for Clemson. Watson has a tendency to get sloppy when pressured--and he will be pressured. Look for more defensive scoring from the Tide.

I also think Kiffin hasn't had to reveal all of the playbook because Bama hasn't needed to use it. Look for lots of Calvin Ridley, Ardarius Stewart and O.J. Howard.

Alabama wins by 10.

I agree that Bama was very conservative offensively, but after last year, I cannot imagine Clemson letting OJ beat them.
