Clay Travis New SEC Schedule Idea: Thoughts?

Clay Travis brought up an interesting topic on The Roundtable in B'ham this morning. The current SEC schedule makes it so that teams will complete a home and home series every 6 years. So for example, LSU will play @Tennessee during the 2017 season. That means LSU will not return to Knoxville until 2029.
Travis suggests eliminating permanent divisions and have a rotating schedule.
Every team gets three annual rival games and then rotates a home and home schedule with five SEC teams every other year. So as a hypothetical example without figuring out the kinks of a 14 team rotating schedule...
Auburn Schedule 2018
Alabama
@Georgia
@LSU
Missouri
Miss State
Florida
@Vanderbilt
@Arkansas
Auburn 2019 Schedule
@Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Texas A&M
Ole Miss
@Tennessee
@Kentucky
@South Carolina
Auburn 2020 Schedule
Alabama
@Georgia
@LSU
@Missouri
@Miss State
@Florida
Vanderbilt
Arkansas
Auburn 2021 Schedule
Alabama
@Georgia
LSU
@Texas A&M
@Ole Miss
Tennessee
Kentucky
South Carolina
This way every SEC football player would be guaranteed to play in every SEC stadium if they stay four years. Further, it makes it so that SEC fans are traveling to SEC cities and stadiums more often. I agree with Clay that part of being an SEC fan is going to away games and experience SEC games as a visitor.

Now thats getting the shite end of the stick if you have to play those 3 teams every year

It would be great. But isn't that illegal right now (eliminating divisions but still having a CCG), according to the NCAA?

We already do? And sometimes finish the season with @Georgia and @Alabama.
And it wasn't too long ago that Auburn-LSU played late in October.

AU/UF wouldn't be annual?

I just don't get why we don't play a 9 game conference schedule and eliminate 1 crap or non power-5 team each year.
This year here's who the teams would eliminate
Ala: Fresno, CSU, or Mercer
Ark: FAMU, NMSU, or CCU
Aub: Mercer, or ULM
UF: Northern Colorado or UAB
UGA: App St or Samford
UK: USM, EKY, or EMU
LSU: Chatt or Troy
OM: USA, UT-Martin, or ULL
Miss St: Charleston Southern, LT, or UMass
Miz: Missouri St. or Idaho
SC: Louisiana Tech or Wofford
Ten: Indiana State, UMass, or USM
A&M: Nicholls, ULL, or New Mexico
Vandy: MTSU, Alabama A&M, or Western KY
It's just really not that hard for us to do this.

UF would get Georgia, Tennessee, and LSU I would assume.

You've gotta have Auburn in there.

Just hypothetical. Switch LSU and Florida if you want. I personally see LSU as more of a rival for Auburn but I can see the argument for Florida.
Point is to show how everyone gets to play everyone every other year without having to wait over a decade to return to the opponent's stadium.

Scott Stricklin made an interesting comment on Twitter yesterday.
Responding to a Tweet about SEC schedules:
I'd love to see him champion a move to one of the various models. It's going to take an AD from a powerful school to lead this effort.

Suboptimal. Would love to see a model that offers more rotation in the schedule.

+2. That garbage weekend right before rivalry weekend needs to go. Mercer? Really?

I'm all for the idea of playing cross-division opponents more often. Which is why I am in favor of a 9-game conference schedule
I think this would lead to wide schedule imbalance between teams and from one year to the next. I mean there could be a scenario where a team could avoid every single member of the big 6. Is it really playing an SEC schedule if you're beating up on Mizzou, A&M, SC, Arky, Kentucky, Vandy, and the Mississippi schools?

Kentucky is in a better position as the schedule sits right now. Having miss state is better for us than tennessee vs alabama.

There are plenty of other crap teams we play that can be eliminated as well. I know the ACC only has an 8 game conference schedule as well, and we think our conference is so tough we only need 8, but the B1G, Big 12, and Pac 12 all have 9 game conference schedules.
We should absolutely follow their lead.
