If Alabama claimed all the seasons where someone picked them (these would be added):
1936 - 8-0-1
1937 - 9-1
1945 - 10-0
1950 - 9-2 (I have NO idea.)
1962 - 10-1
1963 - 9-2 (Seriously?)
1966 - 11-0
1974 - 11-1
1975 - 11-1
1977 - 11-1
1980 - 10-2 (~shrugs~)
1994 - 12-1

Personally, I'd trade the claim on 1941 for 1966, as we were the only perfect record in the nation.

1945 we were perfect, but Army was too and played a brutal schedule. All the props to them.

An argument can be made for 1977; Notre Dame leap frogged us from 5 to 1 after they beat Texas in their bowl game; Alabama defeated #9 Ohio State 35-6.

Probably something to do with Jameis and the rape thing.

What would be the total if you include claimed titles?

28. I think he's going off of this.

Texas A&M also went undefeated under Bear Bryant in 1956.

Is is the answer. NCAA doesn't "officially" recognize, but NCAA wesite lists national champions. Less than Bama claims, but still exponentially more than rest of you bitches.

Alabama - 14
Florida - 3
Auburn - 2
LSU - 2
Tennessee - 2
Georgia - 1
Ole Miss - 1

You should thank the Japanese. Because of them bombing Pearl Harbor on Dec 7 we were stuck in San Francisco after playing Dec 6 and therefore missed the post season which you graciously offered to play for us.

That's your fault for scheduling an extra regular season game.

Oklahoma can claim 23 total national championships. The SEVEN recognized are:

1950 AP and UP
1955 AP and UP
1956 AP and UP
1974 AP (shared with USC winning UPI)
1975 AP and UPI
1985 AP and UPI
2000 AP and BCS

There are several years where Oklahoma has no claim to the national title but did receive a selector or a few selectors, and those years I will not include.

I will include years in which OU has a legit claim based on either pre-poll glory or years where they received several selectors but didn't get AP or UPI selections:

1915 - 3 selectors (10-0-0)

1949 - 5 selectors (11-0-0)

1973 - 12 selectors (10-0-1), one that includes Sagarin, which Kentucky just recognized as their lone national title.

1978 - 10 selectors (11-1-0), lost to Nebraska then beat them in Orange Bowl. Should have shared title with USC.

1986 - 12 selectors (11-1-0), although not really since Penn State went undefeated.

In 1984, the 9-1-1 Gator team was deemed to be “National Champions” by 21 of the 47 rating entities, more than any other college, and one more, in fact, than the “recognized” champion, BYU.

Besides Sagarin, the Massy Ratings (also currently used by the BCS), the New York Times, the Sporting News, and 17 other entities put the Gators number 1.

Pretty simple really: Jameis should've been in jail that night for rape. Kind of ironic without a rapist on the field, Auburn would've raped FSU. Also, it's just a matter of time before some Reggie Bush shite is exposed and they have to forfeit.

Undefeated = champs, duh.

2 straight years without a loss takes precedence. AU was defending National Champs and never got it taken away, therefore we remained National Champs for 1958.

Also, Iowa has the second best claim for 1958.
