CJP Vs. Boom

Who would you rather have as your school's dc?
Full disclosure: I am a uga grad and biased. I know boom's gators ran up and down the field on cjp's d last year, but the way cjp is handing boom his arse on the recruiting trail and his track record of championship defenses, I would take cjp...no doubt

Pruitt is the best DC in the SEC in my opinion.

Pruitt is good, but I'd take Muschamp.

Probably Muschamp. I don't think he ever gave up 400 rushing yards to the #96 offense as a dc.

I'll take boom for X's and o's. Muschamp is better as a pure coach.
I'll take Pruitt as recruiting coordinator. He's second to none there. What he lacks in X's and O's he will make up (against most teams) by putting superior athletes in the field. I actually knew Pruitt when he coached at Hoover HS and he isn't the brightest guy, but he really relates well to these teenagers and they love him so they'll give him 100% and at the end of the day that's almost as important for a college coach as any scheme or play call.
UGA fans I also know Coach Kevin Sherrer from his days at Hoover HS and he's a great guy. I have a lot of respect for him. He's a guy you'll want to keep on your coachingn staff as long as you can. Him and Pruitt work well together.

Give me the DC whose defense had the top scoring defense in the country last year. I forget which one that is, though.

A few UGA-FSU Numbers pre/post Pruitt.. Keep in mind Pruitt ran off/ kicked off 3 DB starters who are now 1st teamers at Louisville (Wiggins & JHC) & AU (Tray Matthews)

Also...quote:
The year before Pruitt's arrival, 2013, Georgia allowed 110 plays of 10 yards + but in 2014 that number decreased by 18 to 92.
The difference is even more dramatic when you look at plays of 30 yards+ and 40 yards+ or more. In 2013 the Bulldogs allowed 16 plays of 30 yards or more and 10 plays of 40-plus yards. Pruitt was able to cut that down to eight and zero respectively.quote:
Georgia's quarterback rating against went from 134.74 in 2013, good for ninth in the conference, to 105.80 in 2014, good for second in the SEC.
Passing yards per attempt also decreased from 7.7 in 2013 (12th in the SEC) to 5.8 in 2014 (second in the SEC).
Then there is completion percentage against where Georgia made a jump of a little over four percentage points from 57.9 in 2013 to 53.8 in 2014.quote:
The biggest stat by far is scoring defense where UGA has also made a dramatic improvement in it's first year under Pruitt. Georgia surrendered 20.7 points per game a year ago which is down from the 29 points per game it gave up in 2013.
The Bulldogs also gave up 11 less touchdowns in 2014 (36) than in 2013 (47).
Total defense also improved. Georgia surrendered 337.2 yards per game under Pruitt last year while giving up 375.5 the year before.
Stats don't always tell the story, but it is clear that when you look at the past two seasons of UGA football and specifically how the Bulldogs are playing defense, things are trending in a positive direction.
If we can figure out how to stop the run this year.....

Not as a dc though. Reading comprehension ftl.
Edit: Oh and y'all can't use that anymore after what happened last year.
