Link is to SDS, but still.

Super excited to see him back running this year. I think everyone can agree it is always good to see a player overcome an injury.

“It’s going to be something to see,” Chubb said on the SEC Network. “I’ve been working hard everyday. My team’s pushing me, my family is pushing me, we have an amazing strength staff and athletic trainers. We are going to be in Atlanta (vs. North Carolina) and I’ll be back for opening game.”

One of my favorite players in the NCAA. He's old school. Give him the rock 35 times and let him go to work

Good for him. He is a beast

Seems like a really good kid too. Hope to see him back at 100% bulldozing the East.

Good luck to Chubb... but he's certainly got a bit more ego than LF.
Unless this is out of context. Is he referring to the whole team, or just him?

If he wants to have a future in football, he may want to sit out the game vs. Tennessee.

Probably out of context. Probably not in the top 50 ego guys on UGA's team

I get this feeling that you're really overthinking this one...
Pretty sure he's referring to the first game, big neutral-site contest, and no one really expecting to see him back by then...the fans will be jacked to see him come in on the opening play. He knows what he means to the team (rather certain they make it clear every day how much they need him back, ready-to-go, day one). I can tell you, Chubb doesn't have an ego problem. None.
I find this comment funny coming from a Bama fan...

The only cheap shot in that game was the one the UGA lineman took at Shy Tuttle. Shut the frick up, you butthurt capon.

C'mon, man. I thought we cleared the air on this already? That hit was payback for 1997.

... How so?
I like Chubb. Wish he had come to play for us, but I don't think we were ever on his radar. Could be wrong though. I want him to have a great year (except if he plays us in the SECCG, of course :) )
I like LF too, but LSU fans made it hard to enjoy watching him last year.

Mmmmmm....it may not be descriptive of you but, generally speaking, Bama fans tend to have big heads (and I would argue deservedly so, of late). That tends to happen when you win.
Seriously, it's pretty funny that a Bama fan would paint Chubb as having an ego. Anyone outside of Tuscaloosa can agree with that.

I wasn't trying to "paint" him as having an ego, I just read the quote and asked if he was referring to himself, his team, etc. MOST athletes these days are constantly told how great they are, and get egos. It's nice to see great players who haven't fallen into that trap.
I mean, I actually asked for clarification. It's not like I got on here and said, "Look at this arrogant prick."

Wonderful news. I hope he kills it this year.
