I don't know who this guy is but he is brought in regularly on a local sports show claims he spoke to an Auburn coach who claimed that if Auburn doesn't beat Georgia and Alabama, Gus is out at the end of the season. Now I don't know if he actually talks to auburn coaches or if the Auburn coach is just despondent over that amazing collapse yesterday but figured Auburn fans would be happy to hear that.

He comes on ATL radio alot too, I enjoy his commentary.

Well then there is likely some truth to his statement. Auburn fans ought to be excited. All two of them left on the board. It's amazing how it's the ones who talk crap and make life miserable for the decent ines are the ones never around to eat their share of the crap sandwich.

It wouldn't be that unusual. I believe we fired our previous coaches under the same circumstances.

Landry has sources but I doubt a coach has been told by the AD he has to win out basically. Now I could see the boosters and Dye telling the coaches that. If they were smart they'd fire Jacobs today and start fresh but he's a yes man and the powers like it that way.

Maybe times have changed. In the past, the rule at Auburn was: beat your rivals every other year or you are gone.

Landry is just stating the obvious. What concerns me is that this could just be Jacobs trying to save his own arse. I don't want that mofo hiring a new guy. He just needs to go.
I am all for Tubs becoming AD. I know I am in the minority of AU fans, but I think he would do a good job and he is available today (and said he wants the job). And it would be a slap in the face to JJ since it is known JJ and Tubs hate each other.
