“They’re not going nowhere,” said four-star running back Derrick Green in an interview with Auburn Undercover. “They said, ‘We plan to be here.’ That’s what they told me. They plan to be here and they’re not going anywhere.”

Not only were the Auburn coaches ensuring the Class of 2013 of their job security, even high school juniors were being told to expect Chizik and his assistants to still be around by the time they arrive on the Plains.

“They were telling me they think everything is going to be all right by next year,” said 2014 wide receiver Demarre Kitt in an interview with 247Sports. “By the time my class comes through, they should be great."

If that's the case, I see him gone in the middle of next season.

If a high school student says it then it must be true.

If they keep Jacobs, like the rumors going, I could actually see him keeping Chiz until signing day, then firing him and then trying to find another coach.

What if Gouge and Jacobs know they are firing Chiz and company, yet allow the coaches to continue to "recruit" these players?

Unethical?

Jacobs isn't even sure whether or not he'll have a job yet.

Other coaches should tell our recruits to give Auburn verbals so the coaches stay and back out at the last minute.
