I think Chavis will be a good fit.

I'm still under the belief that a fast paced offense, which lacks in the running game, will produce a very similar defense. (See Oregon) Chavis does produce very speedy defenses, but will he be able to stop the Alabama's, LSU's, Arkys and UGA's of the SEC, when the A&M offense puts his defense on the field for 40 mins a game?

I'm skeptical.

Lets see.... He was the d coordinator and LB's coach, and we didn't not sign a single linebacker last year!!

Chavis is the worst coach in the nation with a 6 point lead and 5 minutes to go

Fair point.

Chavis in a interview discussed that, as well as what he did to stop/control Manziel. I'm just saying that as the months go by and we get to personally know Chief, he is about to bring us back to the glory days of RC Slocum defenses.

Thank you LSU.

Sumlin offense + Chavis defense =

An LSU poster complaining about Aggie posters using the RA function is like Bert complaining that the Olson twins eat too much.

And why did LSU "get rid" of him? Well, because they heard he was quitting on Feb 1st and was recruiting in A&M gear while employed at LSU.

How many top defensive recruits in texas are the aggies leading for ? If I'm not mistaken aren't most people picking aggies to finish 6th or 7th in the west. Will Chief even be in college station in 2017? Can any aggie posters answer those questions?
