Chavis and the 2011 LSU D - Gave up 70 rushing and 463 passing for 533.

Steele and the 2011 Clemson D - Gave up 182 rushing and 407 passing for 589.

Seemed thread worthy.

You know you could have just pointed out how much better Steele's defenses at Clemson were until they switched to a Sumlin style offense.

Yeah but one let them score 70. The other didn't.

Part of the reason why they finished 1st and Clemson finished 86th that year. The other part was that Steele is the caliber of coach fired by a program like Baylor for failing to meet expectations.

What about turnovers?

Just wait for them to say: "Our OC was the QB coach when WVU destroyed Clemson"

And we'll reply: "Our DC was the LB coach when Alabama destroyed Texas A&M"

I'll paypal you $1,000 if you can go a day without posting in an LSU related thread or mentioning them.

LSU forced 2 ints, pick 6, and 2 fumbles. Also had a kick off return for a TD.

WVU had zero of all.

There are plenty of other games to bring up, it's just that bringing up the Orange Bowl record for yards, points and TDs given up is the most fun.

But keep on trying to convince yourself Chavis had no impact on Honey Badger's succes, or that of any other elite LSU defender in his time there.
