I know it's highly unlikely... but what yall think about a rematch (Bama vs lsu) are (Florida state vs clemson) to get to the finals? I would give it about a 20 percent chance of one of those things happening. Thoughts?

Unlikely, but not outside the realm of possibility.

I doubt the selection committee picks both alabama and LSU for the playoffs

I could see it happening. If they are clearly the two best teams in the country then it should happen.

I agree but will the committee see it that way?

Won't happen. The committee doesn't have the balls to pick two from the same conference. We had a system that allowed for the best two teams in the country to play for the championship and it chapped too many asses, so now we're back to subjective voting. It is what it is.

I like the 4-team playoff, but I'd rather the BCS computer formula determine which teams are included.

Agreed. In 2011, the two best teams played for the NC. If anything, now the committee has the ability to at least make them play in the first playoff game to prevent an all-SEC NC game. Or can they? I'm not 100% on how the playoff selection works.

0.2%

'11 Bama and '11 LSU would beat every team this century expect maybe 2001 Miami. They don't grow on trees, if you watch the games you'll be shocked by how many NFL players names you hear. People forget that in 8 quarters those teams scored 1 TD. That talent doesn't come around often.

Off the top of my head I can name these guys that played in those games for LSU

Reuben Randle
Odell Beckham
Jarvis Landry
Spencer Ware
Tyrann Mathieu
Eric Reid
Morris Claiborne
Ron Brooks
Brandon Taylor
Kevin Minter
Barkevious Mingo
Sam Montgomery
Michael Brockers
Bennie Logan

Only way it happens is if they beat the dog shite out of every other team like they did in '11. It was a collision course and everyone knew it. That was the most anticipated game I can remember in SEC history.

I'll actually disagree on that one. This will be bama's best D since 2011. Far Superior D-Line play and I think the secondary is better in coverage

Won't happen. The 2 best teams in america always meeting died with bcs. Now it will always be 4 conference champs from the 5 p5 conferences. Oklahoma had zero business in that fricker last year.
Sure, sometimes it will be the two best but sometimes the best 2 will reside in the same conference and you'll NEVER see two from the same. Unwritten rule of the playoff committee. This very scenario (called the Maryland rule) is what caused the NCAA basketball tourney field to expand. Only conference champs made the tourney and Maryland and north carolina were clearly the two best but only carolina went because both were acc. Maryland to this day is pissed.

If the committee picks a 2 or 3-loss Big 10 (14), Big 12 (10) or Pac 12 conference champ over a one-loss SEC runner-up (conference or division), it'll mark the beginning of the end of the committee.

I think the 4-team format is here to stay, but I could easily see the committee being disbanded in favor of a BCS-like computer formula (which is better anyway) if one of the two best teams in the country gets left out in favor of an obviously inferior team.

So was Bamas. If Bateman is your QB you lose 3 games. If he's not, you lose 4.

And that's what I'm saying... the package 12 is not good. Big 10 and big 12.... BIG QUESTION MARK. I think it's a lot more likely than ppl think this year.

If the committee picks two teams from one conference there won't be any beginning of the end of the committee. It will be THE END of the committee. Just as it was with the BCS.

No way. I'm a firm believer you must win your conference to be considered
