Ole Miss finding some diamonds. 3 star recruit beating out two 4 stars, another example why recruiting isn't everything.

What the frick is up with everyone having a starting QB already? We still have a couple of practices left to figure this out. WHAT IS THE RUSH?

Marshall Henderson 2.0 except he will fail.

Kincade was a 3 star, right? Plus, Swag had a higher rating coming out of high school than the others. Plus, Swag.

Is there some kind of requirement that a coach has to name a starting QB before a game?

Here are some comparative recruiting rankings for QBs. First number is recruit overall rank for that recruiting year. Second is QB rank position. Bold number is numerical ranking - this is the number that is most important for comparisons.
It is useful to keep in mind that rankings refer to ability at the time of recruitment, not potential.
Interesting that Kelly got the same rating as Bateman (Alabama) and only one point behind Harris (LSU) though he is older, and two pts behind Jamis Winston. He was ranked numerically considerably ahead of the recruit evaluation numbers for JJ (Auburn) etc.
Recruiting class - 2011
#226 (13th QB in class) Everett Golson PRO 91 ND
Recruiting class - 2012
#26 (2nd QB in class)Jamis Winston DUAL 97 FSU
#101 (8th QB in class)Chad Kelly DUAL 95 Clemson
Recruiting class - 2013
#87 (6th QB in class) Cooper Bateman PRO 95 Alabama
#242 (20th QB in class) Conner Mitch PRO 91 USCe
#244 (21st QB in class) Jeremy Johnson PRO 91 Auburn
Recruiting class 2014
#97 (9th QB in class) Brandon Harris DUAL 96 LSU

This is why I used his JUCO ranking, it's the most up to date so should be more reflective of standing. IIRC Kincade and Buchannan, the guys he beat out, we're both 4* recruits.

SEC quarterbacks who give themselves douchey nicknames always seem to do well
