He's banned from the Combine for something that happened in 2014?
That seems pretty stupid.

If a team wants him, they're going to take him whether he's at the combine or not.
I do find it hilarious that the NFL is suddenly trying to clean up their image at the Draft Combine when they're still allowing players who beat the shite out of women on the regular to play on Sundays.

Let me help this retarded OP:
quote:
A person familiar with the league's decision told The Associated Press that Kelly is barred from participating in the event because of charges stemming from a fight outside a Buffalo nightclub and for being dismissed by Clemson. Both incidents happened in 2014. The person spoke to The AP on the condition of anonymity on Thursday because the NFL has not revealed the reason Kelly was not included on the list of participants released by the league a day earlier. The decision to exclude Kelly is based on a memo the league issued to teams on Jan. 18 outlining reasons draft-eligible prospects will not be permitted to participate in the weeklong combine in Indianapolis that opens Feb. 28. The memo says prospects will be excluded if background checks reveal past convictions for violent or sexual offenses, or if they were dismissed by their school or the NCAA. In April 2014, Kelly was kicked out of Clemson following a sideline argument with coaches. In January 2015, Kelly pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct as part of an agreement stemming from a fight with two nightclub bouncers.

One of the draft guru's on Finebaum said Kelly had the best tools of all the QBs in this draft, but was a head case.

The NFL is almost as full of shite as the democrat party... almost.
That said, the NFL probably don't relish the sight of a QB on the sidelines grinding his jaw like he had a bit too much meth before the game.

"By no means at all are we trying to say Chad didn't have some issues off the field that aren't to be in question," McAllister said. "And we've been questioned by multiple NFL teams on multiple occasions about these incidents. But what we want to know is why all of a sudden now does the NFL feel Chad is not material to be at the combine?"
I hope his representative isn't being paid to speak the English be good.

Tyreek Hill strangled his pregnant girlfriend, and yet the NFL pimped the shite out of him this year

Feel like that is geared towards a kid that is kicked out and then goes straight to the draft. Kelly fricked up, transferred to EMCC, then did enough to transfer to Ole Miss and had been a pretty decent kid by all accounts since then.
This sounds like punishing the kid for something he's already taken the heat for and come out on the other side of.

I tend to agree. If he can keep it on the straight and narrow, I could see him being successful.

Feels like most guys by this point either have it on or don't. Not many that make that change at this point in the game.

Bill Polian said he's the best QB in the draft. He's got all the tools on the field. I think his ego is inflated and he wants to act tough sometimes off of it. Itd be good for him to stay quiet and let his representatives do the speaking.
