Where have we been rated highly?
Nowhere that I've seen (well the exception being this exact article where Solomon picked you to finish first in the East, he's the same one who said we were the most overrated too) but based on the rest of their predictions a lot of the article is designed as pure clickbait. TAMU beats both LSU and BAMA but can't manage to win the West?

So much like Alabama-LSU game last year?

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that neither Serraneaux nor Phat Phil posted this.
SHOCKED.
SHOCKED.

I simply posted the news as it was reported by cbs, nothing more

I don't believe this to be true, but it makes me feel better that A&M gets them at home. They have a couple of tough games out the gate before arriving at Kyle Field.

Idk why some Lsu fans do this. We will field a great team this year but I'm gonna hold back on calling bama scrubs... Lol... At least Untill we actually beat them. It's been over 4 years so.... He needs to stfu

Little harsh on Gus....
quote:
There’s a real chance that Gus Malzahn, who enters the season on the hot seat, doesn’t make it out of September with his job. That’s because there’s a real chance that the Tigers, who open the season with four home games, start 0-4 on the year against Clemson, Arkansas State, Texas A&M, and LSU... Yes, Arkansas State, a team that is exponentially better than the Jacksonville State team that almost beat Auburn on the Plains last year...
What issues appear solved heading into the season? The defense, outside of Carl Lawson, isn’t noticeably improved, and the quarterback situation is anything but settled — they’ll either roll with Sean White again or go with John Franklin III instead of Jeremy Johnson. Franklin, a junior college transfer, left Florida State because he wasn’t deemed good enough to be the fourth-string QB. They also have only one running back with collegiate experience and lost their two leading receivers from 2015...
The makings of a bounce back do not appear to be in place — there’s a real chance Auburn finishes in last place in the SEC West again in 2016.

No shite that is just retarded. If any team wins those two games, they have a greater than 90% chance of winning the division.

CBS is usually spot on with these things...like last year.
CBS Most Overrated Football Teams 2015
Tennessee finished 3 spots ahead of the preseason ranking, which CBS said was their 4th most overrated team.
So...Alabama was overrated at #3...but they seemed to do pretty well last year.
LSU was at #13 in the preseason...they finished at #16...so they probably weren't the "Most overrated" on the preseason list.
They were pretty spot on with Oregon and USC both being overrated, but were off on the other 3.
Oh...I almost forgot...honorable mention
They were right on Arkansas (preseason 20, finished unranked).
Oklahoma was preseason #19, and they made it to the playoff...so I would say that was a miss.
UCLA was preseason #14 and finished unranked, so that was a good pick.
Stanford was preseason #21 and finished #3...so that was a horrible pick.
All in all, they were about 50/50...so I wouldn't put all of my eggs in that basket.
CBS Most Overrated Football Teams 2015
quote:
4. Tennessee: There are over eight SEC teams ranked in the poll, and 13 of the 14 teams in the conference received votes in the process (sorry, Vanderbilt). I don't have a problem with eight SEC teams being ranked, and considering Tennessee sneaks in at the No. 25 spot, this isn't that big of a deal.
Tennessee finished 3 spots ahead of the preseason ranking, which CBS said was their 4th most overrated team.
quote:
3. Alabama: Now, now, Alabama fans, calm down and read this before you start figuring out ways to make me pay for disrespecting the Tide. Alabama is going to be good in 2015. It's just I feel like there are more questions about Alabama heading into the season than there have been at any time in recent seasons.
I just don't know that I'm ready to consider the Tide the third-best team in the country
So...Alabama was overrated at #3...but they seemed to do pretty well last year.
quote:
2. LSU: I just don't get it. What did people see from LSU last year to justify ranking them No. 13 to start 2015?
LSU was at #13 in the preseason...they finished at #16...so they probably weren't the "Most overrated" on the preseason list.
They were pretty spot on with Oregon and USC both being overrated, but were off on the other 3.
