For the 6th consecutive year, CBS has chosen the Alabama vs LSU weekend for their prime time matchup of the season.

Other possibilities for the prime time game that weekend include:
Florida @ Arkansas
Vanderbilt @ Auburn (can auburn pull closer to leveling the series?)
Texas A&M @ Mississippi state.

Should we just start calling Bama vs LSU the prime time bowl? Looking forward to another Saturday night in Death Valley

Should be a good matchup. I hope the other game is Florida/Arkansas. that should be another good game.

There's only one team from Louisiana that can beat Alabama, and Bobby Boucher plays for that team.

OP is counting the 2011 year when CBS completely botched not picking the Game of the Century. Ultimately paid a frick ton to buy the slot from ESPN

Last five times yes.
LSU is 9-8 vs ala. since 2000.

Every game since 2000 has gone down to the wire except:
2001 LSU rout
2002 ala rout
2003 LSU rout
2004 LSU rout
2006 LSU rout
2012 ala rout (1/9)
2013 ala rout
2015 ala rout
