Auburn's OL looked like shite against the only defense they have played this year. We won't know if they have gotten any better until the Georgia game.

45-38 type game.

LOL, no shot

It's 100 years away, but I could see this one being an early 1990s throwback. Auburn does not run the ball as well as they have in the past and Stidham still struggles under pressure. I think Alabama will limit Auburn offensively. Not quite to a Clemson level, but more like that than anyone else (though Georgia might as well).

On the flip side, Auburn is very good on defense and will probably frustrate Alabama as well.

Could see AU/UGA and AU/Bama being old school LSU/Bama and AU/LSU style games to end the year. 23-17 or 20-14 type games.

You can try to change the subject but Bama is going to Mud Hole A&Ms arse on Sat.

You said ONLY dual threats champ. And lets not act like Chris Todd didn't give Bama fits or that you cant possibly lose to a Pocket Passer.

Luckily for us Stidham is a pocket passer who can run if needed. You will see more designed runs and draws to keep the defense honest as the season goes on.

You would think a QB who has the most sacks in the country to be in negative yds right? nope definitely not the case here. If you have watched any auburn game this year besides Clemson you can clearly see the kid is faster than he gets credit for.

I wished you were right, but dont agree. We will lose large, if they score 38, because nobody is scoring 45 on them.

Our only chance is to play a perfect defensive, low scoring game.

Will be tough, but I think we have a shot.

Chris Todd went 15/25 for 181 yards, 72 of which were on one play to a wide open receiver. 14/24 for 101 yards the rest of the game with 1 INT and 1 fumble. Gus worked his magic that day to create 2-3 big plays from scratch, but Chris Todd was not the problem.

Stidham is an interesting case because he does possess the abilities it takes to beat us : pinpoint accuracy and enough athleticism to move around. However, so far that accuracy has cratered when he gets pressured. You have to be able to make pinpoint throws with pressure to beat us. If he improves that he has every chance.

The interesting thing is that Auburn plays Alabama Jr a few weeks before in Georgia, so we'll get to see Round 1 that week. Should have a lot better idea after that.

I would say Stidham is more comparable to Chad Kelly. And we know Kelly didn't have any success against Bama.

Stidham doesn't STILL crack under pressure. Relax, Clemson game was a whole month ago and he has only took one sack since. MSU and Mizzou had at least a 5 star on the Dline. (simmons and beckner respectively)

Funny how people down play our opponents like Bama has played anyone with a pulse.

Maybe in 7 on 7 drills, but until he starting doing that under heavy duress he is not Chad Kelly.

Stidham is the type of QB that Saban can't defend against

What?? When did Stidham become Nick Marshall or Cam Newton running the ball?

Interesting. But what if Georgia continues to be a bunch of bullies with their only loss (At Auburn) going into the SECG to a one-loss Auburn whose only loss is to the number one ranked team (Clemson)?

That leaves the Tide waiting to see if they got into the CFP while AU and UGA duke it out for the auto-bid.

As I said he gave Bama defense fits. 181 yds passing against one of the best defenses of our time is pretty shabby imo. It obviously takes more than a QB to beat Bama but I think Auburn is set up as a team better than most years.

Should be a great game.

If Alabama goes 11-1, loses to Auburn and doesn't make the SECCG there is no chance in hell we make the playoffs. Our resume might not even have a Top 25 win on it.

No point in talking about it now. A lot can happen between now and the end of November. Injuries, off-field issues, meteor strikes, nuclear war, etc.

If we win every game before the iron bowl we have a shot. If we lose and lose our momentum, they probably run all over us.

That scenario would be better for college football than bama winning the SEC and cake walking into the playoffs.
