ITT: non-B6 schools saying they don't care.

In the other thread about next team to join: non-B6 schools claiming that they should be next.

I would say A&M and Arkansas hold up fairly well vs the Big 6. Neither are Alabama, but they have a nice place in history.

quote:

All time wins (place nationally)
850 Alabama (7)
811 Tennessee (11)
777 Georgia (14)
761 LSU (15)
734 Auburn (19)
709 Texas A&M (23)
691 Arkansas (28)
691 Florida (29)

All time win percentage
Alabama - .723
Tennessee - .680
LSU - .649
Georgia - .648
Auburn - .630
Florida - .629
Texas A&M .602
Arkansas .591

All Time Conference Titles
Alabama - 24
Texas A&M - 18
Arkansas - 14
Tennessee - 13
Georgia - 12
LSU - 11
Auburn - 8
Florida - 8

Bowl Game Appearances
Alabama - 61
Georgia - 50
Tennessee - 50
LSU - 46
Florida - 41
Arkansas- 40
Auburn - 38
Texas A&M - 36

Bowl game wins
Alabama - 34
Georgia - 28
Tennessee - 26
LSU - 23
Ole Miss - 23
Auburn - 22
Florida - 21
Texas A&M - 17
Arkansas - 14

BCS Bowl Appearances
Florida - 7
Alabama - 6
LSU - 5
Georgia - 3
Auburn - 3
Tennessee - 2
Texas A&M - 1
Arkansas - 1

"Claimed" national titles
Alabama - 15
Tennessee - 6
Texas A&M - 3
LSU - 3
Florida - 3
Georgia - 2

Arkansas - 1

You need to update this with the new "BCS Games" the New Years Six. In which case Ole Miss joins the list with 1. Yeah I would like to forget that game too, but we cant, and it counts.

It's not even remotely close to comparable though. Your entire football existence other than the last 3 years has been outside the SEC. All those wins, all those bowls, conference titles, etc....you weren't competing against SEC teams.

This is true, the wins and accomplishments just don't go away though. A&M dealt with some great teams and programs in the past as well.

for sure. I know yall have played texas a ton obviously, but I looked it up and you haven't faced nebrasksa/oklahoma near as much as I woudl have imagined. Still though, wins are wins. I'm just saying it's not apples to apples.

I can't take UGA's overall body of work and say "we would be the [x] best team in [whatever conference] based on these numbers".

Yes, Arky has 691 wins, but I am showing a .588 winning %

Also, with 691 wins, Bert is poised to get the razorbacks into the 700 win club in just 2 years!

And I can agree with that. I was just seeing where A&M fit in if we did ignore that A&M didn't play the same teams as the rest.
