Are the big 6 the top 6 in every category in SEC history? No, of course not. But there's a common theme here right? Pretty much any major category one could choose to determine an SEC pecking order, you see the same 6 teams show up over and over with consistency. This isn't a flash in the pan type of deal where you have a team like boise or oregon who has recently gotten hot and starte winning. We're talking about teams that have been winning since the aughts and have long standing traditions of being the best 6 teams in the league. It's a fact, deal with it. The only time someone will replace a big 6 member is if over the next 30-50ish years a team makes up for previous decades worth of failures and a big 6 member just absolutely plunges into the toilet for a few decades as well. Sorry folks, but that aint happening.

Now that the SEC is 14 teams, I think it's time for a Big 7.

Where did you get the data from?

Good point about the big 6 - your obvious conclusion from the data is that the gap between Alabama and the number 2 team in the SEC is greater than any other two teams in the conference.

in teh grand scheme of things it doesn't. Still, there is a clear and distinct pecking order and those 6 have separated themselves from the rest of the pack. It doesn't matter unless you care about prestige, winning, titles, etc..things of that nature.

We're all keeping an eye on Georgia Tech.

Fantastic research
I didn't make up the numbers from my brain, I used the internet.
Sure, I could have found a PDF version of each school's current media guide, navigated through the 100ish pages to find all time records for each school, then posted accordingly. But despite what you may think I'm not THAT bored.
There's 1 or 2 wins missing from your all time total? Holy shite! Who cares.

Great job, but one more thing you might want to add is SEC Winning %.
The only members of the SEC that have an overall conference winning % is The Big Six out of the 12 members since 1992.
Missouri most likely has one and A&M might, but with only 3 years to their credit compared to 80 years for original members and 20+ years for Ark and SC, that is simply not enough time to properly judge their programs ability to sustain a winning conference culture.
