Can we go ahead and give LSU the preseason trophy?

UT has won it the last two years and there is still a long time to go but but this amount of unwarranted exuberance is pretty impressive. Yaw yaw yaw yaw, Citrus Bowl!

I would award it to Ole Miss but that would mean another banner hanging in your high school stadium

This coaching change may very well blow up in LSU's face.
But it is not this day.
So until it happens, we're going to enjoy the new energy surrounding our program. That okay with you?

Congrats on that bowl game ole miss played in. The trophy will come in the form of a letter from the NCAA

Fait accompli.
I didn't think anyone would ever dethrone Tennessee, but LSU fans are rising up. Combined with Tennessee fans Butch fatigue and most Arkansas and Texas A&M fans acceptance that they have mediocre coaching staffs, might as well go ahead and crown LSU.
With hindsight, we should have seen this coming. Given LSU fans ability to pound their chests and rationalize defeats with conspiracy theories under all circumstances, this moment was inevitable.

Well, not one single fan of another team, certainly not Alabama, has posted that they will go 15-0 or 14-1 next year... but numerous suicide battalions of Tigers have already charged the trenches, screaming their "we will go undefeated, 8-0 going into November, favored against all teams except an overrated Alabama" battle cry.
As yet, no fans of any team except for LSU has claimed "vastly superior talent. equal to Alabama" and "you scared" ... despite losing most of their starters, having five SEC road games, a reject unemployed part time-DL coach masquerading as a HC, and no proven OL, DL or LB-depth...
Humble pie seems to be the order this off season. No other fans have bragged about much of anything except LSU fans who have bragged and postured and pranced and posed about everything.
I wouldn't give the cup to LSU yet, but fans of other teams seem to have learned that understatement is preferable to yaw yaw bravado. LSU currently holds a big lead... but the question is, can they hold it, or will they pull a full Falcon?
If any team can overtake LSU I think it will be Auburn. When that fan base starts down the slippery delusion slide, mob mentality takes hold rapidly.

I don't think any of us except a few dipshits have stated anything about us going undefeated next year unless it was to get under some gumps skin (and it obviously worked). Most of us feel a 9 to 10 win regular season and a win in a NY6 bowl next year.

I think they win the preseason but I've learned to never count out Tenner.

Why does Germantown tiger = the whole fan base?
The majority are in a wait and see.
