You're so short-sighted. You really think Tennessee wouldn't troll Bama mercilessly over the win after the suffering they've endured at Bama's hands lately? It's not a melt, but it would be entertaining.

This is certainly true but even more so if we upset Bammer. It would likely be far more epic than a melt -- fo' real.

Oklahoma is falling apart. The only really good player they have on their team is Perine and he can't handle the load of the entire offense and stay healthy. I know Perine has the stats but he racked them up against a lot of teams that just don't play very good defense.

The B12 has a lot of fast, undersized defensive players designed to stop air attacks and WR screens and a big back like Perine punishes them. OU's defense is no different. They have one good player (Striker) but the rest of the team is undersized and has terrible tackling technique.

On offense they have lost 3 from their offensive line. And their O-line wasn't that good last year. QB was under pressure a lot. They're having a QB battle because they don't have a QB better than Knight.

And to top it off, they have one of the most bone-headed coaching staffs in the nation.

One fight at a time. First you gotta emasculate a Stoops, then y'all can focus on Monte's kid. And then the very next week, you can emasculate another Stoo...well, no, it's tough to emasculate UK's football program, but it's the thought that counts.

It would actually be pretty awesome to beat two Stoops in the same season.

Striker was able to eat us alive (he was responsible for their win not their O) and I dread facing him again even though I know our OL is improved. Dude will still be a threat, at least I'm counting on that, and TBH, you take him out of last year's game and it's a whole other ballgame. It was the pass rush and the rawness/lack of experience of our OL (we replaced the entire OL) that killed us. They couldn't open a hole for the RB or protect the QB to save their lives and since Worley presented little threat to run and was a mediocre passer OU could stack the box with no worries.

We also had to replace our entire DL last year and it wasn't until a few more games that our own guys came into their own, especially true froshie Derek Barnett. BUT our DL and secondary will be much improved from last year across the board.

That said, I'm not taking this for granted or even assuming we'll win as OU could easily upset us depending on the circumstances. Right now, I consider the odds even with Neyland giving us a slight edge but the game could go either way.

Wise words as usual.

I don't hold up much hope regarding Monte's kid but it would be sweet all the same. We'll be heavy dogs in that game and right now I count that one as a loss. We just don't have the depth for Bama, imo.

FWIW, I consider Monte's kid and Franklin as cut from the same condom. Both sleazy as hell who could've and should've done things more maturely but dems the breaks and I do think Monte Jr. has grown up since and regrets how he went about it.

You're on a roll today, my man. You know I **usually** have a good grasp of teams and lack the homer gene. I'm far from perfect but you do appear out to get me riled. (FWIW, that doesn't really work well with me but you'll likely catch a few others). I mean I do get it: you're a gator and I'm a vol and this is tRant rather than a team board but you've been a bit over the top today.

That said, I stated that I consider the odds even. And yes, home team advantage can give an edge, especially when you're traveling that far.
