between Bama and LSU? Yes this is a hell of a matchup.
Of 17 major team stat categories (Rushing Offense, Passing Offense, Total Offense, Scoring Offense, Rushing Defense, Pass Efficiency Defense, Total Defense, Scoring Defense, Net Punting, Punt Returns, Kickoff Returns, Turnover Margin, Pass Defense, Passing Efficiency, Sacks, Tackles For Loss, Sacks Allowed), here's how the Bama and LSU match up:

Of SEC teams...

Bama is 1st in 6 categories
LSU is 1st in 5 categories

Bama is 1st or 2nd in 10 categories
LSU is 1st or 2nd in 10 categories

Bama is 1st, 2nd or 3rd in 13 categories
LSU is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in 13 categories

LINK

You can spend 2 weeks skewing these to fit your team, and im sure you will, but you gotta admit this is gonna be good.

All this is meaningless against each others Defense. Going to be one we talk about for the ages.

LSU doesnt win games by outgaining their opponent. We win with turovers (much better than bama) and field position (bama sucks at punting) Not sure about now but before saturday LSU had allowed all of 6 yards of punt returns.

Point being these teams do what they do well.

Alabama may do the same (being honest, I haven't watched), but LSU gives up a bunch of yards in garbage time. We also have more turnovers and get shorter fields more often.

We have probably given up 25-30 points in garbage time with backups in, but we gain experience and lack of injuries

Irrelevant stat bc they've only played two common teams, UF and Tenn

actually all these stats will be irrelevant to one team on Nov. 6th.

I don't expect either team will have many backups in, barring injuries. The most impressive stat to me for Lsu, is 2nd in the country in RedZone scoring %. Bama's gonna need to keep Lsu between the 20's come Nov 5th. Hopefully, Bama being towards the best in 3rd down conversion defense and first downs per game defense will help with this. This game is gonna be strength vs strength.
