so sad that they've inbred those dogs so much that its impossible for them to live a full healthy life

It's pretty pathetic to be honest. I mean who really gives a shite if they are solid white or not. They are still English Bulldogs and are beautiful creatures.

Besides being great, beautiful companions? Nothing else FOR them to be. If they weren't so hard to raise because of their health issues, which are present throughout the breed, the UGA line is just 12 times worse, I would have one.

Actually had a chance to get a puppy for free last year but decided against it. I doubt I'll turn down that opportunity again if it ever arises. But I'm sure it won't.

Agreed. Most dogs have uses, whether its hunting, protection, or just simply staying alive for a reasonable amount of time. Bulldogs aren't any of those things.

oh ok so some hounds, retrievers, and spaniels have use but you want to tell me what the hell most people use their goldens, labs, or so on for?

bulldogs are great dogs, mine is about to turn 1 and he's fricking hilarious and i have 8 others so i think i'd know how much different they are then other breeds. they're dogs just the same just require more attention and if anything you become more attached to the fatty

Aside from companionship, can't the same be said for most dogs. If you own a lab, but don't hunt , what are they useful for? If someone were to break into my house, I can assure you that they would know what my bulldog is useful for.

Regarding the article, you have to be very careful when buying a bulldog. I would never buy from a breeder that wouldn't give me contact information to previous customers. My bully has been the best dog that I've ever owned. He was housebroken in two and a half weeks and has been very easy to train. Aside from his snoring, the only problem that we have had is is tendency to get ear infections.

That's just sad.

My Dad used to breed Australian Shepherds and a lot of breeders were against their inclusion in the AKC. Thy are great dogs, but irresponsible breeders could destroy the breed very quickly. They are difficult to breed properly, and if done improperly, the puppies can have a host of health problems such as hip dysplasia, blindness, deafness, etc.

Lovers of Aussies would hate to see them go the way of Dalmatians and Bulldogs.
