But it bothers me that dumb A&M fans think losing 1 or 2 tackles and Swope won't hurt you at all.

All players recruited by previous coach. Jury is still out on what Sumlin brings in for grunts and defensive backs. I expect him to do well with the WR's, QB's, amd RB's because he has a history of that.

What leads all aggies to believe Matthews isn't leaving? Has he come out and said he is staying or what?

The chance to play on the same 1st string offensive line as this kid: LINK

Coach Sumlin already told a recruit that we didn't have room for him anymore because one of the juniors wasn't going to declare. Out of the three. Matthews is the LEAST likely.

They are losing the least amount of any team in the west and they have Johnny Football. They already showed they can beat Alabama.

LSU's football team showed they can beat Bama. Les Miles showed that he can frick up a wet dream.

If he stays to play with his brother that is huge for y'all. To be honest I just don't see that happening when he is for the most part regarded as the number 2 tackle for the draft this year.

FWIW I am pulling for you guys to keep up the success (not against LSU of course) and do think y'all will definitely be contenders for several years to come. Anyone who says otherwise is in denial.

He grew up with all his brothers and cousins going to the NFL. Will be interesting to see. But neither Joeckel or Matthews are hurting for money.

Assuming (or perhaps expecting) A&M to have success after one year is setting up for a letdown. Sustaining success in the SEC takes time. How many teams are annually at the top of the standings? Teams have good years then not so good years. Breaks don't always go your way.

Can they win the west? Sure. Will they? Eh.

Not even if the Mayans are wrong.

The odds that Matthews comes back are good. Joeckel and Moore are more the ones more likely to leave. I would bet we don't lose both tackles, maybe one.

Doesn't A&M play South Carolina next year?

Be damn interested to see Clowney chasing JFF.

Anything is possible,It's a little soon to predict next year.If they want to label themselves preseason favorites,so be it.

If anything, we're probably a preseason top 10 team...which would make us SEC #4 preseason behind Alabama, Florida, and LSU.

No doubt y'all are preseason top 10, wouldn't be shocked if top 5 even. Hell SEC will probably have 4 of the preseason top 5 now that I think about it.

I would. Right now, based on early entries, recruiting, and returning players, my top ten would be:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Florida
4. LSU
5. Oregon
6. Stanford
7. Texas A&M
8. Georgia
9. South Carolina
10. Clemson

I could just be looking through my hate for the pac 12, but I would put A&M at 5 over oregon and stanford. Mainly because it never fails year after year a top ranked pac 12 team always loses to some mediocre team like washington or arizona.

Little Johnny will be lucky to survive next season without injury. Bama will be out for revenge and LSU will have him in Tiger Stadium at night. He beter enjoy his 15 minues of fame. 2013 is gonna get ugly for him, very quickly.
