Can Someone Enlighten Me on Ole Miss' NCAA Troubles?

The Hugh Freezus incident has shed some light on OM's potential NCAA violations for those of us who don't necessarily followit regularly.
I assume there were recruiting violations, but what exactly were they, how severe, and is there any real possibility that sanctions or other punishment will come down?

And his last 2 teams came down to Clemson and Ole Miss. I bet it was like NFL draft day with those 2 schools sitting by the phone trying to outbid one another
