Bryant
Overall Record: 232-46-9
National Championship (6): 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979
SEC (13): 1961, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1971,1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1981

Saban
Overall Record: 100-18
National Championships (4): 2009,2011,2012,2015
SEC (4): 2009,2012,2014,2015

Saban's winning rate-Leaving out 2007
12.25 wins a year
0.57 National Championships a year
0.57 Conference Championships a year

To Beat Bryant's performance
(1) To win more National Championships than Bryant, Saban would need 6 more years at this rate. That is likely in the year 2021. He will be 70. This is clearly within reach. He will in all likelihood get there.

(2) To break Bryant's W-L record, Saban will take 11 years. That is likely in the year 2026. He will be 75. This is possible but might be difficult to achieve as he will tire out.

(3) To win more Conference Championships than Bryant, Saban would need 16 more years. That is likely in the year 2031. He will be 80. I do not think this is possible.

What say you, Bama fans?
If Saban achieves (1) but not (2)&(3) will he be GOAT
or does he need (1) and (2) to be GOAT.

If he is GOAT, will the stadium be named Bryant-Denny-Saban stadium or will it be Nick Saban field at Bryant-Denny stadium?

Dude, brah.....he already has. Bryant wouldn't have that record in today's college football environment. Just like his players wouldn't.

Winning percentage Saban > Bear.
Total Bama wins Bear> Saban.

Absolutely no way to know that. Bryant struck me as a guy who adapted to the current environment. Why do you think he couldn't do that if he was coaching today?

I'd argue that you could throw out the first season for both and it would be fair.

He already is the GOAT to me. Bryant was able to just sit potential starters and stockpile them. Saban is playing under rules that require everything to be more even playing field.

Saban is the GOAT.

Saban owns Bryant in every way. Bryant was a shady POS that only won because he knew how to beat the system. As much as I hate him, Saban is without a doubt the GOAT at the college level.

He will never, of course, beat Bryant's overall record. His win percentage and number of national titles can be equalled. He won't catch Bear on SEC titles either but the biggie is the NC.

THE thing that seperates the two is Bryant played, assistant coached at Bama. He also made Bama his home and that appealed to Alabamians.

If he gets 6 NCs at Bama he will have 7 overall. GOAT.

He ties Bryant on NCs at Bama. He doesn't pass him on total wins or SEC championships.

Since when? With the SEC offices in Birmingham and the mortgage he has on the officials, one would argue the playing fields are not equal.

Bama will just have to settle for the two GOATs.

Did you sit on a tack or something? I ask because you are acting like your butt is really bothering you.

Bryant was cheated out of two national titles and he had 6 at BAMA. Saban has a ways to go yet.
