The LSU passing game wasn't great against Missouri. When Florida shuts down the LSU run game, can LSU pass to win? All signs point to NO.

This is an interesting narrative. Not sure we'll get to find out since UF is without almost their entire D line.

Short and intermediate throws? Maybe with the right play calling

Long throws? We couldn't hit 3 wide open receivers last week so I doubt it

When a team runs for 400 yards I think it is a bit unfair to critique the passing production.

That said, it will be interesting to see how they do against a good D. Last time against Auburn it didn't go very well.

That all depends on whether or not the LSU O line can keep Florida's front four off the QB.

I don't think LSU can win by just putting the game on Etlings back, but they can definitely get florida out of the box with easy passes on early downs to get it to 2nd/3rd and manageable. Against Mizzou LSU hit slants, screens, and shallow crosses all night to a bunch of different receivers.

LSU's passing game finally accounted for almost half of our total offensive production. Maybe "not great", but adequate enough to open up the running game......and that's all we need.

I think the real question will be, can LSU run on the Florida D out of 4 WR formations.

Specifically, what would you like to critique about it?

Of course he can. He's Danny Effing Etling. The greatest QB LSU has ever seen. LSU looking at 10-2 and playoff bound.

What's wrong with rushing TD's? What's wrong with pass plays that get you in the red zone, and then running it in?

Using a game where LSU rushed for 418 yards and 6 TDs, while throwing for another 216 yards, as an indictment of the offense?

Not the brightest tool in the drawer are you?
