Nope. No relationship at all. Keep licking the windows.

Let me put it this way: If next year at this time, in Coach Johnson's second year he's sitting at 9-14 overall and 3-8 in the SEC, I will be surprised and disappointed.

If you
-lose 3 major contributors early in the season,
-have top players suspensions,
-have players playing hurt,
-and depend on walk-ons for major minutes.

You'll be disappointed or think Avery is failing?

Of course, I'm disappointed but I cam't blame Pearl for all the misfortunes.

*UA situation is a little different than AU, so it's a difficult to compare in some apects.

Great comeback.
I'm sorry that you can't convince a single Auburn fan (or most people with a lick of sense) that the basketball program isn't in better hands with Pearl than Barbee. Isn't that your goal here tonight?

was I trying to convince anybody of anything? I posted a simple stat in the op and asked a simple question. not my fault you guys chose to cry about it instead of answer.

Can I get a back story on these? I really don't know.

Bama lost its best freshman due to a silly in practice injury.

Sure you weren't.
But you failed anyway.

The man gets paid top 3-4 in the conference. This is a legitimate discussion.

No it's not.

Now if Auburn's losing like this at the end of Pearl's fourth year? Absolutely. But he's not even through his second year of one of biggest rebuilding jobs in men's Division I college hoops with a roster that was ravaged by injuries even before Canty bowed out.

Pearl's a really good coach. He's not a miracle worker.

just checked again and In fact the stat in op is entirely accurate, so it would seem I actually succeeded.

So Tuberville was a better coach than Saban after his first year at Bama? That's what the numbers literally said.

Actually you didn't.
Unless you define 'succeeded' as trolling with no actual basketball knowledge? If so, then yes, you did succeed.

Even back in December Auburn looked like arse. cant blame it on anything else. Avery Johnson is doing a much better coaching job than Pearl right now but then again, he doesnt have to deal with a team of thugs. Those guys have bought in. The Auburn team is basically an AAU team. no structure

We looked pretty good until Dunans got hurt. He was probably our best defender and definitely our best creator. That was after Tahj went out though. Canty was all we had left at that point. The rest of our guys are spot up guys.
