I noticed that OM found their only success through the air.
Will Hurts be able to do the same?

How is LSU's pass rush?

How do their corners hold up in coverage?

Most of Kelly's long passes came from blown coverage. Two come to mind from Saturday.

Arden Key leads SEC in sacks with 8

TreDavious White is a lock down corner and Jackson is pretty good may have success with safeties in coverage

Decent pass rush, our DBs have been prone to a coverage bust here or there, so yes you could see some success throwing deep.

How is that different from every one of their other games?

Ole Miss can't run so they have to go deep alot. Bamacam run and will have the luxury of throwing deep just to keep the safeties honest

you can thank the refs for gifting Ole Miss 45-50 yards on 3 pass interference calls.

If LSU forces Bama to throw the deep ball I think LSU wins or is at least successful on defense.

I think Bama will move the ball on the ground and with the short pass and screen game though.

I've said it before, if im scheming to beat Bama I'm selling out to stop the run and the short stuff and making Hurts beat me deep.

LSU may be the only team that has the DB's who can hold up 1-on-1 vs Alabama's skill dudes. The problem with selling out is twofold

(1) Hurts can avoid the initial wave and then have wide green space in front of him. And if that happens, he's gonna go for 50 yards.

(2) Hurts then doesn't have to be perfect on long balls. He has Stewart/Howard/Ridley in 1 on 1s and he just has to get it in their area to get a PI or a jump ball.

The best bet is to play safeties back and hope your DL plays the Bama OL to a standstill, then make Hurts beat you in the middle of the field. Problem is Alabama's OL has been playing at a high level and I'm not sure LSU has the horses up front to do that.
