Can anyone stop the LSU running game for 4 qtrs?

South Carolina did a pretty decent job of stopping the run in the first half but by mid way through the 3rd you could tell that the LSU run game was just wearing on them.

But you dont need to stop it, as MSU and Syracuse showed. You can get into the 4th with a chance to win despite their run game doing well.

Alabama has the talent and depth too. The difference in that game IMO will be time of possession. Whichever defense can stay off the field the most, will be the team that comes out with a W. If Coker and the O-Line can't hold it together in that game and fail to take advantage when they're in scoring position, then I think 'Bama loses.

Yesterday was a glimpse into the future for LSU. When the power I formation isn't working we'll just run it out of shotgun. LSU will go 4 wide and take all of those guys out the box and if you go man against them, they'll go 4 verticals.

You have played 1 top 50 defense. If South Carolina with their garbage defense did a decent job stopping your running game for a half, I wonder what a good defense will do.

No. LSU will grind you down over the course of a game. Period. The key to beating LSU is to score quickly, dictate pace and cause LSU to play from behind. If LSU continues to play head to head and play with the lead they are a very hard team to beat because Fournette can take it to the house at any given moment. He has a very rare game-changing talent.
If LSU loses I suppose we will be talking about a poor defensive effort and not that the running game was shut down. Fournette just needs a tiny crease and it's over. You can play really sound schematically, and he will still make you look silly.
