Can anyone remind me how we took Missouri over Louisville again?

I still think L'ville would make a nice fit in the SEC and increase our footprint.

Kansas City and St. Louis TV sets, Mizzou lied and said they belong to them instead of Kansas and Illinois.

Because Louisville is awful and we already have the better university from the state in the conference.

TV money is all that matters, not quality

Yes and it would be nice to have that state's flagship school.

Along with Carolina's and Texas' if we have time.

Better academics (by far)
New state (higher demographics)
less douchy of a fan base

I'm sure there are more reasons

L'ville is the biggest city in KY and has a decent brand name.

The one school per state argument is weak sauce.

Well it's the reasoning used by the SEC during conference expansion...

If I were you I'd start a movement to get MSU kicked out of the conference before they get you booted.

Can someone please tell me why we want a bunch of powerhouse tradition schools?

I kind of like the weak addition to beat up on.

The University of South Carolina located in the state capital isn't SC's flagship university?

Are you not aware of USC's Football History?

Do Arkansas fans ever post anything that isn't a troll or an insult? I don't get it--it's constant.
Relax & take a breather every now & then. Grab a cold one.

(for the record, Mike Slive & the SEC ptb made the decision about Missouri; not the collective Arkansas "we")

I make this argument when people bring up adding Texas, Oklahoma, VaTech, FSU, etc. We need to have a weakling that is good in basketball and non revenue sports to even the balance of power.

Very much. We've been that team for 100 years. But we aren't anymore. It's Missouri's turn.

We're still that team in basketball.

SEC member institution's presidents had to vote and approve it, Slive doesn't have carte blanche on those type of matters.
